Were you able to align to spec after installing the track springs ? I'm debating if I should get camber plates...I installed the sleeves sometime after but didn’t need to take them apart. You could put them on once your springs arrive just to have it done beforehand.
I added pics of the springs from when I had them listed on marketplace. Pretty much will cover the ford part number and it’ll stop the clunking sound that myself and others have dealt with.
Yeah I was able to get back in spec no issues whether it was the FP Track springs or the Street springs. You can always get camber plates if you decide to track it often and need more adjustability.
The street springs and track are no longer on Ford’s site. I was gonna use my points toward them.
Sorry to revive this old post, but looking for some advice regarding my recent alignment reading after installing the Ford Performance street lowering springs. To note, I did have the Steeda stop the hop kit installed a few months back but never got it aligned after.
The alignment tech told me the 0.4° caster difference is minor and shouldn’t cause any issues. He also mentioned that the difference is likely related to the Steeda bushings. The car tracks straight and I haven’t noted any pulling.
Does that explanation sound accurate? Has anyone else with the Ford Performance springs and/or the Steeda Stop the Hop kit seen similar caster readings? I’m mainly trying to determine whether this is normal and can be left alone or should it be fixed with some adjustable camber links.
The stop the hop kit shouldn't affect the caster... stop the hop is in the rear, caster is in the front. That variance in the caster is pretty normal... and not really adjustable... not really an issue. I didn’t have any alignment issues, but I will say I’m not an expert on what it’s supposed to be I just wanted to make sure it was all in the greenDid you have issues with alignment after, I got mine installed today and my toe seems way off. Don't know what the Ford tech did.
I did end up swapping the springs for some street springs from ford and changed out my shocks and struts. I added Ford Performance adjustable camber plates.
The rear toe is within spec technically and the rear camber but it's like right on the edge, should I still go backGo back and ask him to align again. caster is off , rear toe is completely off , rear camber is with in specs technically , but he can do better than that . Show him this chart from the owners manual . ask him since you are lowered about 1 inc , do you keep the same specs or different and what are those? he probably does not know and does not give a damn .. otherwise he would't have given you the paper with the red box...
