I wanted to do a write up for those in the suspension market and also plug the shop who did the work as they did great.
The Car- My car received Ford Performance Track Springs, Steeda Camber Plates, and the Steeda IRS Alignment Kit. The car has been lowered for 5 days and I have put almost 200 miles on the car driving in different places and speeds. Overall the change that I was expecting for everyday driving isnāt much different at all. The ride itself is a little more ābouncyā and thatās me scrambling for things to say. I expected some sort of harsh bare bones driving experience and Iām delighted to say I feel none of that. The car feels tighter and overall more connected to the road. I could only imagine with some track driving those feelings would just get stronger. Some threads notated hearing a clunk from the rear springs due to the rear springs hitting one another but I have not heard any of that. I did order the silencers that were recommended and others have used with good success. Steeda does sell them.
The Parts- I initially ordered the springs from American muscle but I quickly sent them back as they are listed to work with 2024+ mustangs but the part number doesn't match and they didn't even come with the rear isolators. This led me to believe something wasn't right. I did inform American Muscle of the issue. The correct part number is MPN# M-5300-S65T if you go to american muscle you will notice their part number is different and you won't see any rear isolators. The steeda camber plates and IRS alignment kit are both good quality and the part numbers are MPN# 555-8139 and MPN: 555-4438. The silencers are possibly not necessary but for the cheap price on steeda's site I opted to grab them the part number is MPN: SPR02-H2187.
The Photos- I am still in awe of how good the car looks. More mods to come but so far I still laugh like a kid when I see it.
BEFORE lowering springs photo for reference talk about monster truck action.
