Yes. Went to a larger size and am running a secondary. Measure twice, cut once.
Where does the secondary oil cooler sit if the MMR one replaces the DH one?

Did you need to drill any holes to fit either of the kits?

@Dark Sprite : The one kit is in the DH original location. The other is on the other side. Steeda did the install. There is more room because I also have a full-road-race K-member from Steeda.

Update: I guess I should explain this a bit better. The second is on the other side, inward to the front bumper. I can run two oil coolers because I have the larger Ford Performance Road Race oil pan. It holds 13qts. Along with it, I have the pickups and associated parts.

Are you able to comment on the temperature improvements over the DH OEM cooler with just the MMR kit or have you always run the two replacement kits?

The car ran once with the original equipment, and the temps were high. The recommendations were the coolers, the pan, and the hood. This combo would lower the temps significantly.

I have not run this setup yet, but I can tell that with just some spirited driving on the highways of S. Florida, the temps are lower. The engine bay temps are much lower. From talking to some buddies who have done this much more than I, think it will really be good.

I am sure several of us would be interested in updates when you get it on a track.

So did you cut open the lower passenger side grill that is closed off when stock to let air in, or am I misunderstanding how you mounted it?

Also, I assume that they are run in parallel, and not in series?

Thanks. Sorry for all of the questions, but I intend to up the horsepower one day, and it will be helpful to know what works for getting more heat out of the oil.

Oh, no worries. Also, apologies, OP. I did not mean to hijack your thread.

No worries here, either. I thought Dark Horse owners got to do whatever they want. 😁
