Before I went to stage 2, I had Shoemaker send me a custom tune for my stage 1. So yes, it can do it, and it did make a difference from the Whipple tune.
I am now full stage 2 with headers and other supporting mods. My oh my oh my.
My front splitter is the APR Darkhorse front CF wind splitter. (Lol that's the name). It is very nice as well; it has held up to many scrapes and hits, as sometimes I get on some of these raises in areas and it has scraped :(
@slater : So I have a question: If you came out of a Taco, why not a 2-door F-150, or even a Bronco? Various models, or even a Ranger variant? Why a Mustang?
I can hear when things get on them, and lol I cringe every time. I checked my wheel wells about a week ago, and everything seemed fine. No noticeable scratches or chips in the wrap as well.
-2.1 Right at street/track setup on the front. I have not had any issues with it there. I can, of course, go more for track days, but this is the setup I've been using.
I use the handle as a parking brake. I had not tried to drift, and honestly, I have no reason to. I run Goodyear F1 Supercar 3R's, @325 out back....yeah....not trying to burn those up for no reason lol!.
Hmm no. I think it looks menacing enough as is. Also, the badge as it sits currently fits my aesthetics. I have a near Black-Out package going, with the Satin-Black and Matt CF.
I do live in the Shadows after all.
There have been many opinions on this; it has been said that if it is an automatic vehicle, you can get away with the stock oil pump gears. If manual, then get the gears.
I have a manual, so that is why I did the gears.
@ZXMustang : Where do you plan to run? I'm guessing Bradenton, because I am unsure what Sebring has 1/4 wise, and Homestead has a 1/8 death trap. PBIR has been closed for a bit now.
@SC Dark Horse I see. You may still want to look at changing to Hi-flow CATS or deleting them. The stock CATS will not hold up over time, even with the stage 1 tune.
@SC Dark Horse, do you still have your CATS? It may not be this issue, but even with the stage 1 Whipple, your CATS will not hold up. How long have you had this installed?
I have seen where CATS started to fail and will throw no code. If it starts to block your exhaust flow, and maybe at...
@SC Dark Horse : Question: When you say shudder/flutter, do you mean that it feels as if the car is hesitating, sort of going, not going, going? When you accelerate, it goes away completely; when you cruise it goes back to hesitating again, or as a stutter/fluter/shudder?
If so, I had this...
I have something there where this was supposed to be? It has Ford Performance written on it, a black ribbed case... It's pretty wide. My strut bar could not fit because of it. It has hoses and such hooked up to it and my CAI splits into two outlets....
When I looked it up, it says "Ford...
