i just purchase the magneride minimum drops. upon inspecting the rear springs, i noticed the top of the springs are asymmetrical left to right. the top coil is more widely spaced on one side compared to the other. the bottoms are symmetrical. does anyone know if this is intentional?

Interesting question.
If the center of gravity of the Mustang is off, that might be intentional.
I'd ask Steeda to be sure before installing them.

I have a set of the same springs waiting for me to install them, and they have the same difference in gap as yours. It would be interesting to hear what Steeda says about it. They must have a reason.

apparently if the gap difference measured between the two springs is > 1/4 in then it is out of spec
im getting one replaced

Thanks for the info. There's only about 1/8" difference on my springs so I guess I'll install them and not worry about it.

Did you speak to our tech team about this. If not, I'll be happy to route any questions to our tech team - just let me know if you are working with someone as I will have elevate this to our internal team.

Thanks, I'm assuming Thornclaw was in touch with somebody at Steeda. I have not been in touch with anyone from Steeda.

I had the same question and found an old post (11/18) asking if the rear magneride bump stops need trimming. A reply from a Steeda Tech said there was no need to trim the rear bump stops.

"No need to trim the rear bump stops.
Steeda Tech"

Can you post an outside picture where we can see if the drop front and rear is the same?
In this light and angle it appears that the rear is a bit lower.
