there is a wiring harness that connects to the factory charger. it would not be easy to hardwire it using that without damaging the harness.

another way to assess if the filter needs cleaning is to look at the intake manifold vacuum pressure. as the filter clogs, the pressure should drop. here is a pic of the pressure at 3k rpm. maybe check a baseline when filters are new and check it every few months

k&n makes a filter minder pictured here you plug it into your intake it measures negative pressure and tells you when your filter needs to be cleaned. perhaps this would help here as well

the reason k and n are used in offroading is that it’s a 3d media that holds a lot of dirt before restricting flow. your filter appears to be 3d media. why do you feel it needs to be cleaned more often than the stock paper filter needs replacing?

can you give an estimate of how many miles before a cleaning is needed? i could handle 2x a year.
