Shortly after having these springs installed and getting an alignment I drove the car from DFW, TX to Eureka Springs, AR for a Ford event. We hit plenty of twisty roads on the way up and in other drives in the area.

I'm very pleased with the springs. Overall, the ride is close to stock. I actually like the ride in normal mode better now because it feels more controlled. Prior to getting the springs I longed for a custom drive mode with "sport" damper settings while keeping the less aggressive throttle mapping of normal mode, which isn't possible. The "new" normal mode with the Steeda springs is closer to that.

There seems to be less of a change to sport mode. It still works great for spirited driving on curvy roads and seems just slightly firmer with the new springs. Even so, it's still fine for cruising around in normal driving without seeming too stiff.

Track mode still feels noticeably stiffer than sport as it did before, but I never used it enough before the change to have a basis for comparison.

Overall I think it's impressive how well the springs work without needing any reprogramming of the Magneride dampers.

Before and after pics to show the drop, which according to Steeda is approximately 0.8 inches front and rear.

Looks very nice. I love my Steeda springs; ultimate handling for the Magnaride setup. At first, I thought it to be to low. I have gotten used to it now, and it does make me more aware of my surroundings.

Interesting the dual rate ultimate handling springs lower the S650 1.3 inches in front but not as much for other Mustangs. How much stiffer is the ride with those springs compared to stock?

The ride is not much stiffer at all. I do not notice it. In regular mode, you would not notice the difference. I guess the Magnaride has a lot to do with that. In Sport, there is a little notice. In track is where you take notice. It is not super stiff, but you know you are in track mode. I also think that with my other Steeda mods, they all contribute.

The height may also be contribute that I have 325's out back. Someone was telling me that the width of a tire will also contribute to ride height. I am not so sure about it, I am sure someone with more knowledge can chime in.

It does look lower in front but still looks good. I was concerned that the dual rates would be too stiff for everyday street driving but it sounds like they aren't.

Someone was telling me that the width of a tire will also contribute to ride height. I am not so sure about it,
Tire width by itself doesn't contribute to ride height, but a wider tire will be taller than a narrower one with the same aspect ratio. For example, a 325/35 will be taller than a 305/35 and contribute to a slightly higher ride height.

The view of your hood looks like it is completely open from the engine bay to the air above. Did it reduce temperatures on track days?

Nice. That's what I recently switched to. I was slammed with Eibach 1.5" drops but it caused me to lose access to half the city. haha

Yes, it is designed to reduce temps and add downforce. That, with oil cooler mods and the Ford Performance racing oil pan, will bring the oil temps way down as well.

I have not done a full session since putting on the hood; my feedback is from Steeda. I will say, running the car hard on the highway even in this Miami weather, the engine bay cools...A friend who is an advent racer could not believe just how much cooler everything was when we stopped, and he wanted to see what the temps were.

Great review and awesome pics. It’s funny how the “before” pic looks fantastic. Then, the “after” pic, look a little better. Nice job. Did you have to add any strut tower hardware or was the shop able to get it within spec with the stock setup?
