I think we're talking the same thing.
I believe the salesperson gets base pay + commission and incentives.
Do surveys impact the salesperson's base pay? No. Do these impact their commission and any incentives? It's my belief they do. No survey received or anything other than a great score can wreck their overall average and put downward pressure on their additionals.
From my experience, there was a lot of interest in the survey about a week after I had the car.
I was aware of the topic, but had not received anything from Ford. I started getting e-mails from the GM's office, asking why I hadn't accomplished them yet, stressing the importance of getting them in and the salesperson's interest on getting it completed. We eventually confirmed it was a technical error on their part.
