The S650 has an AGM battery.
From what I understand, the nominal voltage for 100% charge is closer to 13v. AGM batteries can also take a slightly higher charge voltage ~14.5v with a float charge (battery tender) around 13.2-13.8v.
What I think we are seeing is the battery management system...
Road and Track published a great article a few years back that I think addresses the situation pretty accurately. None of it excuses the poor customer service but it does give a different perspective.
I try to find the middle ground with my local dealership. For example; I know I’m a “picky”...
Sadly most dealers seem incapable of dealing with enthusiasts and enthusiast cars. Most dealers want to move high margin SUVs to soccer moms who don’t care about their Expedition looking perfect.
Service follows suit and bangs out the repairs with little care.
You really have my sympathy. I...
I had 2 s550 and now an s650 and I did a lot of highway miles on the s550s. I found the best combo for me was PPF on the front end: bumper, hood, fenders, mirror caps, and headlights. Then a descent set of mud guards.
I went with the ones from ZL1 for the s650. I like them have no issues but...
Base on my experience, your car should start final either end of this week or early next week.
I’ll warn you, once the tracking site entered “in production” it didn’t update for a long time. My car was sitting at the dealer before it even said shipped. It may be a little more accurate now...
Blend date is the anticipated day when your car should start final assembly. It can move a few days based on parts, assembly schedules, etc. BTW - What you and I think of as the final assembly, Ford calls the trim line.
For reference, the blend date for my car was 6/9.
Compared to 23 performance pack brakes, the front calipers are different and the rotors have a larger face. That would require a larger sized pad. The rear setup is completely different from 23 to 24
The date at the bottom of the window sticker will always be today’s date. It’s showing the date that particular copy was downloaded.
Once your car enters production there are several steps it’s not a one or two day process. The order tracking site will not show all these steps. It looks...
Only providing a digital manual is an interesting choice. It’s a neat idea and I’m sure it didn’t cost much to implement.
My only problem: it’s 2am, battery is dead, no cell service, no infotainment system, how do I hook up those jumper cables again? or how do I use this stupid fix-a-flat tire...
It does work on the 2024.
I also have a PP car with staggered wheels.
Depending on the tire you have you can rotate from side to side on each axle.
The stock Pirelli PZ4 tire is not directional so you can do side to side “rotation”.
