Except it isn’t a GT500, not by any stretch. It is in fact just a GT with some stuff bolted on that potentially raises a whole ‘nother set of issues.

I’d like to be within earshot three years down the road when the owner is attempting to trade it in and explains to the dealership’s appraiser that “it’s basically a GT500”.

Well, the GT500 has different suspension, cooling, transmission and engine. So I don't see that comparison at all.

I think he was just pointing out that's what it is other than paying for the brand name.

Wow that is insane!

Well, the car is supercharged. But for that price tag I'd rather go C8 or Shelby. Ive seen a couple supercharged Mach 1s going for less than that. Not to mention buying an aftermarket supercharged car is the very definition of sketch.
