    Magnesium Wheels _ Shelby _Mustang

Yeah, and a little before that (umm, ~mid ā€˜60s) American mags were really magnesium. At least ours were. If they offered anything other than the Torq-Thrust style we were all unaware of it.

Hagerty reports on a new trim for the S650 platform

That could certainly happen; Ford is capable of doing anything they want to do. But ~600 NA horsepower in a Mustang? While I’d love to see it I kinda doubt it. The last time they tried it with the GT350 I wouldn’t be surprised if their warranty claim dollars exceeded their per unit profit. But...

    That would be good!

Dark Horse 24 vs 25 Differences

This probably isn’t the kind of thing you’re talking about but one big difference *may* be that there don’t seem to be any ā€˜25 Handling Package DHs on the road yet. At least I haven’t seen any members post one up yet. And we’re getting pretty late in the ā€˜25 production cycle. I hope I’m wrong...

Yeah there’s something to be said for grabbing one right off the showroom!

Should I order the Performance Package & MagneRide on a GT Convertible if I don't like the wheels it comes with or should I

Nice of you to buy your FIL a 2023 Mach 1. He should be very pleased. But, is he gonna be able to get away from the bad guys with the stock car or will he too need to go FI to stay on the safe side?

    S650 sales problems

With apologies if I’m wrong, this has the feel of a cut and paste-up job.

    Should I sell?

Truer words have rarely been spoken. Unless maybe it’s these. Realistically, how much can you actually use where you are?

GTD Mustang Officially In Production - CEO Farley Discusses Testing, Production & Racing

I think that highest bidder thing will eventually be the end game anyway, just a slightly skinnier version of the Ford GT. Unless Ford subsidizes certain buyers in order to gain market visibility these cars aren’t going to be used in a normal sense anyway. They’re just gonna be another...

Dark Horse 24 vs 25 Differences

What consistent manufacturing issues were a problem on earlier production ā€˜24s? Second time in as many days I’ve heard this sort of thing referred to but people only speak in generalities about ā€œproblemsā€. I’m curious what issues are common to more ā€˜24s than not, even early builds.

EDMUNDS U-DRAGS: Ford Mustang Dark Horse vs. Mustang Mach-E GT

Help me understand your drift a wee bit here please: What does ā€œ50s in 5.0sā€œ mean, and are you saying the ICE V-8 is safer because it can ā€œextract oneself out of a situationā€œ more quickly than an EcoBoost? I would sure think an EB could get you away from someone wanting to do you harm plenty...

EDMUNDS U-DRAGS: Ford Mustang Dark Horse vs. Mustang Mach-E GT

I hadn’t planned to one way or the other but why does that thread bother you so much? It’s pretty much like any other thread where folks have different opinions. Pretty easy to just ignore stuff you don’t like.

EDMUNDS U-DRAGS: Ford Mustang Dark Horse vs. Mustang Mach-E GT

IMO there’s a good reason for that. I personally see nothing to be gained by comparing a straight ICE car to an EV. But then again, I’m pretty much a closed-minded hard liner so there’s that. Agreed. Might as well do a business jet vs. a golf cart. But hey, I’m pretty sure the point isn’t to...

    Estimated model year for refresh?

IMO this would make the most sense simply because they could (and probably would) combine any refresh/redesign with the introduction of the hybrid platform. Why go to the expense to do a straight ICE refresh only to have to do the inevitable hybrid thing a couple years later?

Lane keep assist tried to end me

Well sure. As long as you don’t mind going through a pre-flight ritual before every key cycle and/or consulting the online only encyclopedic owner’s manual every time something new pops up. Personally I mind and attempt to avoid it if possible.

    Estimated model year for refresh?

Iā€˜d be pleasantly shocked if it were a [NA] upgraded V8; it’d have to be 575+ hp to get anybody’s attention and Ford has shown that’s kinda getting into the edgy zone of long-term warrantable reliability. So that pretty much leaves the 750 hp supercharged thing, which is becoming old hat...

    Estimated model year for refresh?

After only two years? I sure wouldn’t think so. What’s to be gained by going to the expense? Like them or not, the S650 still looks fresh and new alongside a ā€˜23. And the supposed sales slowdown that seems to be a recent favorite topic in these parts certainly isn’t attributable to dated...
