and it will get its shit pushed in by the ZR1...not that any GTD is even going to be anything more than garage furniture
So you're logic is this badass car isn't badass because another badass car exists? That's like saying a great movie isn't great because another great movie exists.

Overhyped $300k car and will be disappointing at the drag strip, dragy run, dyno, and lose to the much cheaper ZR1 at the Lightning Lap @ VIR

Um...

Basically every body panel on the 2010 is new compared to the 2009. The front bumper, hood, fenders, door panels, quarter panels, rear bumper, and trunk are all entirely different sheet metal than the '09. The only thing that visually looked like it carried over was the roof, and that's debatable.

I recommend getting a new glass prescription lol if you think the only changes they made between 2009 and 2010 were some new lights lol.
I made my point 3 times over with this. Just because you think they look very different doesn't make it a seperate generation. But my all means keep arguing over a meaningless point to the topic my guy.

As long as J. Farley and Bill F. run the company there will be a Mustang like the GTD for the rich and famous and also for the racing world like NASCAR and Le Mans with GT3,4 cars. There may not be a 60K GT for the average guy in the future, but for now racing and the PR created around it is good for the Ford brand around the world.

I agree with you, my question is do you think the next generation of Mustang's will still be with a V8 ICE ?
I believe so. Ford has said several times over the last few years that they intend to keep offering the V8 and well into the future. I don't see it going away for generation 8.

I don’t think the V-8 is necessarily going away.

But it’s gonna have a “helper” electric motor tied to it.

The next gen will be a faster but heavier, more complex and more expensive hybrid. Bank it.

They did say they were working on a hybrid v8 awhile back, but they also said it would not replace the standard version.

Shelby has been making their own cars for years. None of them can be purchased or ordered through Ford. Its a moot point anyway as those spy photos are of a Ford test mule and not a Shelby. I suspect it's a DH replacement.
Correct on Shelby but the DH isn't going anywhere. Expect to see Boss or Cobra. Perhaps a DH Boss.

I was leaning towards the Cobra but Cobra's are supercharged. That could upset the GTD in terms of positioning. However, a 5.2 NA Coyote would fit the bill nicely. Some say the 5.2 should have been in the DH all along.

The GTD is in an untouchable position. Think of it as the difference between the GT & GT500. And the 500 was supercharged.

Just what we need. A heavier, more complex, and more expensive Mustang. I see a hybrid in the future just not with a V8.

The hostorical precedent of the last 25 years or so is that Ford rotates their specialty performance packages every 2-3 years. Cars like the Boss, GT350, Bullitt, and Mach 1 were all slotting in a similar tier and all replaced each other. Most recently the DH replaced the Mach 1. It doesn't make sense for Ford to produce competeing specialty performance packages of similar comparison like the DH and Boss or Corbra at the same time. So for that reason, I dont think we will see the DH as a permanent edition.

I don't count the GTD as that's on a whole different level of performance.

Watch the trucks to see the direction. When they stop making big motors it’ll no longer be possible to put one in a coupe. There was a video on here just the other day with hemi in a….
