I feel it's worth noting, while messing with Forscan this morning, I noticed it picked up a "steering column control module" in my 100A. I have a manual steering column in this car. Not a feature I really care about but possibly an upgrade path for those who are interested

Has anyone been able to enable the "auto lock" toggle in the APIM? I enabled it on my 23 SD and my wife's SUV with FORScan in plain english. However trying it on the Mustang had no effect. Then I tried it in HEX and it still didn't work. I'd like to be able to turn off auto lock but it appears Ford has this one locked down (pun intended) on the Mustang unlike other vehicles?

"Auto lock" ... is that the same as walk away lock (WAL)?

Anyone find a way to disable the gallop sound that the car does 3 times in a row when turning on ACC or starting the car as everything boots up?

No, it turns on a toggle switch in settings under "vehicle" then "locks." Currently there is an auto unlock toggle there but the auto lock toggle is missing from the factory. It could be added to my truck and my wife's Nautilus but won't take on the Mustang.

PM inbound. It's not a set change or I would just post it. It's based off your current value and you add to that.

Some have enabled the WAL (think it may be same thing) but apparently the menu option part doesn't work... Basically you can turn the feature on with forscan, but don't have the ability to disable it onscreen, only with forscan.

This doesn't answer the question.
Under which condition do you want the car to automatically lock or the other way around?
a) when walking away
b) when driving and reaching or surpassing a specific speed

Both can be set via Forscan, but the toggles, if they show up, do not really toggle.
Decide what you want and set it permanently in Forscan.

I don’t think you are following. With FORScan you can add the toggle to the settings menus of the car. So it can be turned on and off through the vehicle settings menu. The Mustang comes with an Auto Unlock toggle in the lock settings menu. But not auto lock. I’ve added it to both our Nautilus and my F250. Adding it to the Mustang is not working through FORScan in either plain English or HEX.

Maybe my non native English is not good enough.
In some cases you can have a toggle appear in the menu, but it either doesn't work or once used, it would change the respective setting only once, but not backwards.
You might want to search this thread to find out more about exactly that case.

You did not answer above simple a) or b) question.

Bro, the first issue to unsolve is:
- what are you talking about exactly???

1. Are you talking about the function that the Mustang AUTO LOCKS when you walk away.

OR

2. Are you talking about the function that the car locks the car after reaching a certain speed.

These are two functions on the Mustang that people both refer to as Auto Lock. So to answer your question, we first have to find out what Auto Lock function you are talking about.

It absolutely works on both our Lincoln and Super Duty. Turn off auto lock and it will never lock. Turn it on and it will auto lock when the vehicle is in motion. I don't want to set either way in perpetuity. I want to set it to off for me paired to my user profile and on for my wife who likes it. Here are the toggles added to both of our other vehicles. They stay in their respective positions after key cycle and work as they should. Last pic is the Mustang without the toggle turned on with FORScan.

Neither. I want the auto lock toggle added to the settings menu.
