Interesting!! I was checking the whole image that he shared to make sure it was an A10 but I do see the Auto’s shift knob. Would be interesting to find out if this is a ā€œburiedā€ option or reachable through FORScan. If it’s the latter, then I won’t applying it!! šŸ˜†

Yeah i hope its reachable because i talked to the guy in the video and he said he will do it online to my car for almost 490$ usd (which includes a full package in forscan) but theres no way i am paying even 10$ for something thats essentially free you just have to find the way or the code

Ahhh, FORScan!! That is a very good tool if you plan to unlock/add features that are present but just weren’t made available by Ford. Lot’s of topics on this Forum that list codes and tips for those that want to use the Application. Good Luck and enjoy that Pony!!

The toggle for launch control is enabled here in the APIM:

There are also some min/max thresholds to set in the APIM here. It would just be a matter of pulling the config of a Mustang that has it to see what to put on there:

Also needs to be enabled in the IPC so the animations show in the cluster:

It also needs to be enabled here in the ABS:

I can't find anything in the PCM related to launch control. It is possible that there are some other things that need to be changed, but this is a good start.

Looks like line lock can be enabled in the same place you enable the toggle for launch control in the APIM and then enabled it in the ABS here:

Edit: And here in the IPC:

I doubt that video is authentic, but hey it would be nice if we could turn it on. Also looks like there is a rev matching tab too. Maybe someone that has it can post their spreadsheet. If anyone tries this post your results. šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

Rev match here in the APIM:

And IPC:

Nothing in the PCM that I can see. Seems like there should be more to it than just this.

Good luck to those willing to FAFO and see if this works.

I need to lose a couple of kilos. I better enable lunch control too.
Count me in as well for enabling "lunch control"...

Well, for what it’s worth, several if not dozens of these cars have cut 1.4 60 foot time stock trans, stock converter.

I don’t think launch control would do anything but help you spin and go slower, a stickshift car yes, but auto, no.

100% agree.
Launch control and Rev match are functions designed for a manual transmission.

For the most part, launch control is simply allowing you to hold the accelerator to the floor with the clutch pushed in while the car is at a complete stop, so that when the clutch is released you launch under full power. According to the manual, it is supposed to help maximize traction as well; but to what extent is hard to say. I doubt this function could ever work properly in a vehicle with an automatic transmission.

Rev matching is simply removing the requirement for the driver to possess the skill of being able to heel/toe shift a manual transmission. All it does is 'blip' the throttle for you on downshifts so that the engine RPM matches the RPM's required for the gear you are downshifting into. Again, I doubt this would ever work correctly with an automatic transmission and if it did, what the benefit be.

Line lock would be the only feature here that would really be worth trying to get working on an auto.
