  1. Permanently disable Cross Traffic Alert?

If you turn the volume down while the alert is going off, it should reduce the volume of the alert itself. The only way to permanently disable it would be with FORScan.
  2. FACTORY STOCK IS FOR PEOPLE WITH BAD TASTE.

FWIW: While I agree that the verbiage used can come across as abrasive, I have bought from them before and was provided great pricing and service and my goodies were shipped immediately after I paid.
  3. Suspicious

Message me the VIN. Maybe there's something in PTS/OASIS that will provide a clue as to what's going on.
  4. Using Forscan and being intimidated by it

Ah, I just noticed the pic is of the previous gen. In that case, I would just leave it alone.
  5. Using Forscan and being intimidated by it

Actually, I was looking at the wrong line. I was looking at the F150 sheet, but the IPMA seems to be the same on most Sync 4 vehicles in terms of the config. That value as far as what changes between and E and an F is not detailed in either spreadsheet. Below is what that bit controls. DPAC is...
  6. Using Forscan and being intimidated by it

@Mach 307 No idea what could have caused that. Looking at the spreadsheet, all that does is change the field of view of one of the cameras from regular to wide angle. Not sure what could have caused that bit to flip to an E, tbh, but nice catch.
  7. Using Forscan and being intimidated by it

Yes, absolutely. 99% of OTA's will flash different firmware in one or several locations within the module. In some case, config changes are included....especially when new features are being added. There are rare OTA's that are config only and do not actually write any firmware at all. These are...
  8. Using Forscan and being intimidated by it

An OTA will trigger the server interrogator to update the data with the cloud. I have heard that removing the vehicle from the Ford app and re-adding it may force the sync, but I have never tried it myself to verify.
  9. Hands on steering wheel warning

If it works on US cars, you can try changing the country code in the APIM from Switzerland to US to see if it allows you to get rid of the warning. Go to this line in the APIM: Switzerland should have a 4348 there. Change it to 5553, reboot the APIM and allow a few key cycles for it to take...
  10. Forums. Different experiences in other countries

I visited Japan in January of last year. The car culture over there is insane. Not sure what regulations they may or may not have, but I saw mild to very heavily modified JDM cars everywhere. From old school Datsun Z cars to modern Supras and everything in between.
  11. Need help - Bought a used Canada market car and need to get the KPH changed to MPH....permanently

I made that comment just FYI. I would like to reiterate that if your connectivity and everything is working, then I would leave those areas alone.
  12. Turn on backup camera?

I would imagine so. Not sure since this method tricks the IPMA into turning the rear cam on, but I would think it has to be enabled.
  13. Accidentally deactivated Auto Start/stop

No idea. The only thing that I know sync the vehicle up for sure is an OTA. Also, removing the vehicle from the Ford app and re-adding it is believed to force the vehicle to sync, but I have never tested it to make sure. It will eventually sync, but I have no idea what event actually triggers...
  14. Accidentally deactivated Auto Start/stop

Airbags are controlled by the RCM. Nothing you did there would prevent the airbags from deploying. Unlike some people here, I see nothing wrong with making some tweaks to the modules to personalize one's experience with the vehicle they purchased. As long as you make a back-up to restore...
  15. 2024 Mustang FORScan List / Database / Spreadsheet (by Livinitup)

You are exploring uncharter territoty brother. I know the drive modes need to be enabled in the IPC in a few spots. I would control F and search for drive in the spreadsheet under the IPC. Also, enable drive modes here in the APIM:
  16. What Ferrari would do...........

Very fun driving car. I don't hate it.
  17. Please explain Forscan to an idiot

Changes you make to a module do not reflect on the server right away. It can take weeks for vehicle to sync up to the cloud. If you ever mess up the config and failed to make a back up first, you can always pull the ab file from Ford here and reflash the module back to what is was...
  18. Please explain Forscan to an idiot

FORScan is an awesome tool that every Ford owner should have. It is mostly known for being able to make configuration changes to enable and disable features, but it is also full of service procedures found in FDRS that allow you to troubleshoot and fix many issues. You can recalibrate the IPMA...
  19. South Florida Mod Shops

I was just reading through their reviews which do not seem to be very good. I had good experiences with them when I took my vehicle there, but that was a long time ago. I bought a used tranny from them and had them install it when I blew up the third gear synchro on my 2005 GT. I also had them...
