Bought this for my Dark Horse and my F150 https://keyshop-online.com/products...CkeMb31f2sSRIM3iZkn173RZ3OAz3LZ3TXEcqn0S-d0_S .

Long story short, I maxed out my keys experimenting and figured it out only after my last key was programmed using the old s550 frequency so it's only useful in the backup slot. I can't find any PATS/key erase or relearn procedure in forscan. Is there any way to DIY key removal right now for the S650?

Finally got this working in both my Mustang and F150. A dealer appointment to clear keys cost me $90 each vehicle. Now I can use all of my vehicles just by having my phone on me.

You keep the box in a centralized inconspicuous location in your Mustang. It works by connecting to your phone via Bluetooth, like Ford's own implementation in their EVs, then unlocking your doors and transmitting as your key once you're inside a signal strength-based perimeter that you set in the app. When you leave the perimeter, it locks your doors and no longer transmits as a key.

I'm very satisfied with this product. Anyways, I had to buy the programmer to do this for myself, so I'm happy to offer free programming of PAK boxes if there's interest. Your smart key must operate between 315 and 434Mhz to be compatible.

Lookup your fob's FCC ID. If it operates between 315 and 434.25Mhz, it's compatible. There are a few 150s using 902 Mhz fobs that are incompatible.

Let us know!
I meant to open up my key fob to see if I saw the frequency on it in there, but totally forgot. Keys are locked in my truck now while at work, so I will try to remember later. If you have your truck keys handy, pop it open and see if you see anything in there.

I would strongly suggest that you abandon this practice. If you don’t already know, the F series is one of the easiest vehicles to break into currently made. Pre ’22 models without the lock cylinder shield can be broken into with a multi-tool in under 5 seconds. Once they’re in, if your keys are in it, they can boogie.

A gent on FRF had bought a Raptor out of state and was transiting San Antonio, stopping at a hotel along I10. His wife had the 2nd key and left it in the truck, so when the thieves came along in the evening, they drove off with it in less than 30 seconds, courtesy of the hotel video.

Yes, plenty of info on youtube.
the old style is so weak, I can almost turn it by hand; no tools. Once they breach physical security, most of the battle is won so do what you can to make that tougher.
