Thoughts? I've seen a couple videos from this channel and I'm still not sure he knows how to shift?

Actually the GT one is not PP and SS is, so diff is different I guess, tires suspension etc maybe different too. and mustang has longer gears for economy purpose. many things may go wrong and human error for sure.

I’ve seen quite a few videos lately where Camaro SS cars take down 5.0 Mustangs. I really don’t know what to make of it. Of course there are a lot of variables. But I just don’t see how that’s happening. I mean, my car is a ’13 Premium with the MT-82. It’s got a Flowmaster muffler kit and Steeda tuning/CAI and some upgrades to the MT-82 so it’ll shift correctly. Otherwise it’s stock. 102k on the clock. Just a regular car. My father has a ’21 Camaro SS 1LE with the 10-speed auto. When we hammer it from a dig or from a roll either one it’s a very very close race. It’ll come down to who gets the hit. So how in the world are NEW Mustangs having trouble with Camaros? I don’t understand what’s going on.

Mustangs with a manual are comparatively slow. The coyote needs to be in the high RPMs to be worth a damn and the long gearing in the MT-82 is just another reason to get the A10.

Now with my C6 Z06, those long gears really helped as there's so much torque the time between shifts is just a waste.

They definitely needed to have one with the PP. The 3.73 gears would make a huge improvement over the 3.55s

I owned a C6 427 and I couldn't beat a civic type R (sad) because my shifting is only average. I had a C7 Z06 and I was able to rock in that after installing a short shifter but many many people could have done it better.

My vehicle prior to my new GT premium was a 2024 ZL1 1le. It handled like a pure race car, rode absolutely rough and you couldn’t see anything. Loved the performance, don’t miss the car. WHIPPLE on current ride works out fine. Before the Camaro I had a 2023 corvette 2lt ht Fun vehicle just too hard to get in and out of for an old guy. Fortunately I sold it before bottom fell out. Think I’ll be sticking with the mustang for some time.

Had a Camaro LT1 A10, now Mustang GT A10. Camaro was faster and more precise/nimble.

Around town, if you gunned it to catch a red light, it felt like a rocket launching you from behind your back--didn't matter what gear you were in due to the LT1 engine's excellent low-end torque.

Stock Camaro exhaust also did pops and bangs when letting off >3K RPM, which get further amplified/extended going downhill. You could play that car like a musical instrument ;)

No drag strip no care. Those guys videos are...iffy.

The Camaro doesn't have as much difference between the M6 and A10 like the Mustang does. A bit ahead of the Mustang M6.

That guy is a moron. I can't stand his edits. Just show the damn race. I blocked his channel.

Does the mustang come with smaller tires than the Camaro? That seems to be the weak point of the mustang compared to more expensive cars like the corvette. Skinny wheels and tires.

Didn't watch the video, but if that rear lip spoiler and rims are any indication its an SS 1LE. I had a '19 and the car came with 305s on the rear. Car handled like it was on rails. It was my first venture outside of a Mustang. The cabin was challenging to see out of. If it wasn't for that, I'd probably still have it. Sounded beautifully on down-shifts. Low-end torque was definitely there.

Not surprised. Stock vs stock I'm taking the Camaro.
