Which would make the 415 most standard torque statement incorrect, right?
Yes

Very solid numbers, especially for the GT. I was hoping the DH would be closer to the GT350's 526hp, especially with all the mentioned upgrades, but in this day and age, we'll have to take it as a win.
Given what they've said I feel like the gt is either underrated or it's just a tune difference since they said the only difference in the dark horse and gt is the rods.

Pretty laughable dark horse numbers. Kinda kicks the whole "BA top trim" aspect in the face.

If that thing starts over 60K, it's just a huge bust.
Yeah DH numbers were lower than I expected, but, probably emissions/EPA numbers reasons. I wouldn't doubt a Ford Performance tune that unlocks more. Just a guess though.

The GT numbers are great though. Great win for the v8 guys.

Agree! My GT350 was 58K in 2016. Over 60 would be crazy. I bet they go DH 59K. Prices getting crazy. 500 is disappointing after long time in 400s and then HP cut by 10.

Now if aftermarket can fix that mask look.

but down on torque. :) So Ford, are you lying now or were you lying then?

6HP is just measurement error. If "doubling" the available throttle body and air filter area yields basically no gains, I guess the original config was good enough afterall.
Mind you, we only know peak power which isn’t really as important as seeing the curve itself

The question is, is the delivery broader than before, same with torque

Read the press release:
Those opting for the standard Mustang GT still enjoy 480 horsepower
480 is closer to 450 than 486 is. So my point is still valid. But seriously, not sure how I missed that line...

All of the sudden, the 10 HP lost in 2022 due to “emissions” suddenly become more important on paper. 😂 Corporations never cease to amaze me.

Makes me feel better about my S550 purchases. Much better looking generation, and minimal HP difference. Specially the Mach 1. 😎

^this is key. Peak numbers don't tell the full story. Ultimately them quarter mile times will tell the real story

Also keep in mind that those numbers are dependent on using 93 octane, as mentioned in the footnotes

Given that my new 2022 Mach 1 stickered over 63K I can’t imagine them bringing a 2024 DH in at 59K. That wouldn’t make any sense at all to me, given that the DH is supposed to be upstream of the M1 and will be 2 model years newer. If this scenario should take place then the 2024 DH will go down as the bargain of the century and will be plastered with big time ADM.
