the 35-40k bracket v8 IS the mustang. Paying 15+K more for Ford likes to identify as "upgrades" is what is insane.Let me know what other V8 with 450+ hp is in the market.

Riight. Who needs leather, performance pack, MSRC and active exhaust right? It seems high but it's not Ford, it's Bidenomics.the 35-40k bracket v8 IS the mustang. Paying 15+K more for Ford likes to identify as "upgrades" is what is insane.
yup, Ourisman Manassas in particular. They have 8 new custom-orders coming in that were abandoned so maybe you'll get lucky and find one on the lot.Local dealers in the DMV have had discounts of from 5k to 15% recently.
I think it ended with the 2019 year model. My 2019 GT 300A did have both power seats but the 2020 only had driver seat powered. The S550 300a car got power seats both driver and passenger. Not anymore.
sure, but now 300A DRIVER seat is manual. That's a seriously low blow.I think it ended with the 2019 year model. My 2019 GT 300A did have both power seats but the 2020 only had driver seat powered.
See my '24 on order in my sig. $63K MSRP. Just over $57K A/Z Plan.My preferred 24 GT prices out to 61K. I hope to order at about54-55k in a couple of months.

You did not answer the question.the 35-40k bracket v8 IS the mustang. Paying 15+K more for Ford likes to identify as "upgrades" is what is insane.
the question was moot and arose out of the false premise that I wasn't talking about the Mustang. You did not answer the question.
Avoiding the question indirectly answered the question.the question was moot and arose out of the false premise that I wasn't talking about the Mustang.
Cooled seats are nice. I don't have them on my M3 (only heated), but my son got them on the GT and my other son has them in his Avalon. Very nice. NEVER use the heated seats if you value your leather-it's murder on them. Either way, if you've never had them, you won't miss them.Trying to nail down my wants/needs for a new purchase. I'm a bang for the buck kinda person so even if i could afford a higher trim/package if it doesn't add that much value, its hard for me to justify to myself. This car is going to be a daily with no track usage. Probably going automatic since its a daily.
GT vs GT premium. The main diff I see is the leather seats (+cool), soft touch interiors, wheels, and 1 piece dash. At around a 4k price diff, its hard for me to justify.
- Leather seats - seeing the seats of the base GT in person, I think I would be perfectly happy with those, if not I could throw on some leather for a lot less. Seats are heated/cooled but I don't have that now so IDK what I'm missing haha
- Soft touch interiors - I like this but at 4k hardly justifiable.
- 1 piece dash - doesn't make a difference to me vs base dash once I saw them in person
- Wheels - I prefer the black 18 inch wheels on the base by like a lot. I would have to replace the ones on the premium with some black RTRs or something.
400a vs 401a - Am I missing something here? Whats worth 3k in this package? Slightly better seats and interior, puddle light...
This is often seen other ways. I bought a 2011 M3 with competition pack, but deleted almost everything else including the sunroof to cut back on the weight. In the M forums, this is known as a "unicorn" and is HIGHLY desired. You are buying a relatively expensive sports car. The premium features add a lot. This is a purchase for a vehicle to enjoy, collect and/or use daily. And you should not be buying this car if the issue is the cost of base v premium, as the mustang has relatively poor gas mileage.
Of course, there are other options to save money.

Sure, but aside from buying the supercharger from Ford, there aren't that many ways to get a bit of extra horsepower out of the car. 10 isn't a lot, but it's something and some people want to "turn it to 11". The price is steep, however, so we only got it because that's how the car came optioned-and there weren't many 6MTs near us, and almost all had equally expensive "cosmetic" upgrades that we didn't want.I love the one piece screen and the leather. A lot of the other stuff seems like a gimmick. The active exhaust for instance. I'd rather it just be loud all the time.
