May even be a failing battery. My son has an Avalon that he got from grandpa that was doing the same thing shortly after a tire swap. Turns out grandpa was just cheap and didn't replace the TPMS sensors, so one by one all of the sensors have started to do that. It was a coincidence that it...
I always wondered if this was an homage to Ayrton Senna who famously stated, “Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose” . The statement is 100% accurate.
There is no "not lose" when it comes to wives. You have "lose now" and "lose later". This sounds like a case where he'll eventually hear about "that time, 7 years ago, when you were really snarky to me..." ;)
Agree, my e90 M3 has staggered, unidirectional tires (so no rotations) but am now at 70k miles and have never had a set of tires that wasn't almost identically worn on each corner. Only difference is that fronts get about 25% more mileage than rears.
I agree. My 2003 S2000 will definitely let me run into things without ever giving a front collision warning, yet somehow I've never done it. Strange...
Sure, but on the other side, you haven't seen the "clearances" that BMW finds acceptable! The battery alone in the trunk has perhaps 2mm of "space" around it-very fun to replace, and the trunk opening is only a suggestion. LOL
For example, does it fit best face down (will the bar that holds the tire kit in the trunk scratch it up) and fit scissor jack and tools in it like a bowl, or can it be placed tire up and have the items fit under? He was trying it that way first) or face up?
My son's self-defense fits in the front seat. He's working on a third degree black belt in Danzan jujitsu (full Japanese, so all encompassing), so that saves space!
Why? I've done this with my e90 M3. It has 265/35-19 and I had the car shipped from a dealer in AZ who neglected to tell me that there was a leak and they had already used the "fix a flat" kit. I had to get that into the trunk to get the tire repaired and it wasn't as if it was that difficult...
Just to continue the saga...
Finally got BlackBoxMyCar to send replacement cords, it was faulty cords all along (both hardwire and cigarette adapter). Camera works fine, but son just noticed that neither 12Voutlet works.
Seems that continuity fails on the 20amp Mcase+ fuses under the hood...
It also requires an upgraded battery that degrades at a faster rate if the ASS system is active. My wife's Highlander chews through extended flooded or AGM batteries at a prodigious rate, and she tries to deactivate the system as often as she can remember.
It's a horrible bit of tech that...
Upside to a camera like the 970 is that the app allows you flexibility for the power mode. When hard wired, the system can tell when ignition is on or off, even though there is also constant power. The app can put the cameras into park mode until the voltage drops (like using Mustang's accessory...
If people are still interested, when I get home I can try to take some pictures of the install for my son's camera in the '25 GT. It's a BlackVue 970X plus (box). The processors are in the box unit that I have strapped to the rail below the glove box (out of sight, out of line of sunlight so it...
For those still looking, my son with with the Sto N' Show. It fits well, is low profile, and he hasn't had issues with it scraping over speed bumps, etc. A bit pricey at $100, but seems worth it.
