This is probably a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway. Is the part# for the Stage I and Stage II Whipple supercharger the same? I come up with M6066M8800 for both. Thanks.
It is not a stupid question! Lucky some other would ask the same question over and over! I myself learn the new stuff especially with the Whipple Supercharger with advanced technologies which we learn from the daredevils taking first steps! Just fun for us all!

Can't think of a reason the blower itself would be any different.
:like: Thank you. I kind of thought that, but wasn't sure.

The only other issue I had was my heat exchanger brackets that mount to the posts they give you needed to be clearanced/slotted a bit.

it did take me awhile, I must be slow, did the install alone except for a 2nd set of hands to lower the blower in place.

off to do some light road testing and top fluids etc…

Nice. I had the same problem but I used a little mallet persuasion on the post screws so that the brackets lined up. Enjoy!

I want to add, the drive ability is basically stock or better, all modes. With the exhaust on quiet and the windows cracked you’ll get a hint of sweet sweet compressor sound … but that’s it.
I’m told the more you pulley it down you’ll get a little more but I have no need to.

the 1st thing anyone is probably gonna notice is the extra 250 (whatever) TQ now under your pedal.
And it’s still not gonna be like pushrod tq, but it gives the car much needed grunt out of the hole.

from there it’s just how hard you want to lean into it. I kicked it down and half heartedly ripped it on the freeway and it’s an absolute missile.
trying to figure out if I’m gonna go with 555R2s or R888Rs out back for a road tire.

Have you thought about trying the Nitto’s?

Did anyone leave the foam blocks that were under the stock manifold in place when they installed their blower? The instructions don’t say to remove them but have pictures of the valley without the blocks in later steps. I’m in the middle of installing the VMP flavor Whipple and I decided to remove the blocks. I felt like there may be some fitment issues if I left them in, but I saw some others on youtube that left them because they felt like it would reduce false knock. I’m at the point where I have the lower part of the blower installed. Just want to make sure I don’t need to pull the blower and reinstall those blocks. Thanks.

I left mine in. There is a bolt on the front that pulls it all together and squares everything up.

I would try to leave them specifically for possible false knock/resonance

Man, I hate bolt 10. Should finish up this evening or tomorrow.

I accidentally hit the bypass actuator with my hand when I put the lid on. Hoping I didn't damage the diaphragm.

ETA: I did end up pulling the bottom portion of the blower off to reinstall the foam blocks. While it was out I went ahead and put the o-ring and silicon tubing in. If you follow the instructions it has you install the o-ring and silicone tubing while the bottom half of the head unit is installed, which would be a bigger pain than it needs to be.
