Based on the conversations I've had with some installers: For those kits purchased with a warranty: The SC is warranted for 3yr/36K miles from time it is installed. The vehicle itself remains covered under its own 3yr/36K mile bumper to bumper warranty and the 5yr/60K powertrain warranty. It must be installed by an ASE certified technician to have this coverage. If you install it yourself (assuming not an ASE certified technician) and it blows up, not only is the SC not covered, but if it damaged the vehicle, that won't be covered (under the mfg warranty) either.
I plan on buying a ProCharger 315 HP. I gJess now the warranty will be FK. I am 75 could be possible dead in next few years. Car is going to my son in law. I think I’ll chance it. WTF.

nope, the warranty is 3 years and/or 36,000 miles from the vehicle's original purchase date and mileage. probably to prevent someone from putting one on an old, worn-out engine to get a free replacement when the extra power from the supercharger kills the worn-out engine

Yes. I had to pull the battery, remove the battery compartment partition and k brace. It’s a little tight but I was able to do everything from the passenger side. There’s no room on the driver side. You have to use an inspection mirror with lights built in to watch the sight glass and an extraction pump with a flexible tube. I used the one linked below. It wasn’t difficult only took about 20 minutes.

ETA: if you have the inspection mirror you can check the oil level without removing anything.
Sorry to raise the dead, but this thread is EXTREMELY helpful for anyone contemplating "The Whipple Job". Thanks for tips, tricks, and these tools ^^^ in particular as suggestions.
