I would also recommend reading the manual before and laying out the parts to make sure everything is there. And make sure you have all the required tools.

The entire kit can be installed by 1 person, but I would recommend help setting the SC in the car.
Take your time and have fun installing it.

Yes, that is what WHIPPLE will cover. But Whipple doesn't decide what or how much FORD will cover.

My understanding is that, with the FPP kits, the mfg warranty on the vehicle stays intact as long as the kit was installed by a Ford dealer or any ASE certified technician. Again, that's just what I've seen/read myself, so ...

someone posted the ford performance warranty about two posts back. Same thing except there's coverage for axles

My Whipple has been delivered. Exciting!

Whipple recommends Motorcraft Full Synthetic 5W-50. I preemptively changed my oil to that during my first oil change two weeks ago at 1500 miles. Ford charges about $210 for a case of 12 quarts of their 5W-50 Synthetic. I bought a case of 12 on Amazon for $150. Factory first fill oil sample was sent to BlackStone labs and I await results.

The calibration tool writes to a full size SD card so make sure you have a compatible reader. I only had a Micro-SD compatible reader at home. I was able to get a reader and send my calibration request to Whipple on my lunch break!

If you bought it through Ford Performance, would you pick up this extra 2k? Grand per axle

The FP whipple is considered an OEM part in ford's eyes. You keep the new Car Warranty and get the whipple warranty. I have multiple emails and chats with FP to confirm that as long as it is a FP whipple, it will not void new car warranty. That's why I went with FP and not just get the stage 1. Also the tune is the same as stage 1. Apparently it was supposed to be different, but whipple ran out of time to create a new calibration tune for Ford performance exclusively. So they are just using the same stage 1 tune. In the future the Ford Performance tune will have the 615 torque number and a different calibration that FP mentions on their site.

Basically you getting a great deal to get FP whipple now and keep the car warranty get the whipple warranty, and know you have the stage 1.

Is there any benefit by paying that 2k to have a dealer install it? I'm assuming the engine blows up, there's no warranty. I've seen them listed for sale with warranty, but guessing it's just the supercharger that's covered?

Sorry, total newb on superchargers.
I bought the stage 1 that comes with a warranty. I think it covers engine damage caused by the super charger too. Now just have to make an appointment to get the dealer to install it. As we don't have ASE certified mechanics up here in Canada. So have to use the Ford dealer.

Lol go for it! I caved in and brought one after seeing the wave. Once I saw I'd keep my warranty for the FP whipple. I made the investment because I had nothing to lose and fun and excitement to gain.
