Average life expectancy (mileage) on Performance Pack Pirelli's

Based on gut feeling, I think you are in the ballpark @12-15k miles. Based on experience with the previous generation, many owners had to change their fronts around 5k because of the toe out in the alignment from the factory. Makes the car feel more planted, but it will wear the fronts fast...

Ford Teases "New Addition to the Mustang Stable" Coming in 2025

What fun could AWD possibly bring to the daily-cruiser type? I've only driven Audi and Dodge AWD cars and it feels like it removes enjoyment from the driving experience. Make a heavy car feel heavier and steering disconnected. Unless it's about straight line acceleration or driving in the snow...

    OPTIMA battery installed!

It's really nice, but I don't understand why you changed the battery now? Is it for weight savings?

    Dark Horse Depreciation vs GT

Yes. With Ford financing the EB and GT are 4.99%, and the DH is 7.99% Banks are higher.

    Dark Horse Depreciation vs GT

One thing I considered was the cost of financing for the DH: 3% higher than the GT here, which made financial sense only if I paid it cash. Whereas I am doing better financing the GT and investing the money conservatively and coming ahead at the end of the term. This would have a greater...

    Oil Catch Cans

I researched them for my S550 and ended up buying UPR. I'm sure they're all fine choices, but I went with UPR and will buy one for my S650 as well. Made in the U.S., price is right.

Are the S650 GT PP front calipers the same as DH? Same as S550 PP?

    Gas mileage for manual

On the contrary...I change engine, differential gearbox and brake oil frequently using only the best synthetics because I track the car. If I know I will go on a road trip, public roads and no shenanigans,, I don't see what I gain cycling high octane in the tank since I won't miss the 2% HP...

    Gas mileage for manual

Yes. 94 octane is 25% more here. I use it for the first little while because it's a new toy for me so here and there I will do a little pull to stretch her legs, have some fun. I had a S550 GT before and it pinged when under load on 87 octane, like when doing a pull from a stop, or going uphill...

    Gas mileage for manual

I get 16 mpg commuting in the city, almost 24 on the highway. I have filled with 94 octane fuel so far, but will use 87 for daily driving once the car has a couple thousand miles on the clock. I will use 94 for the track. Here we have 94, 91, 89 and 87 but no 93.

Anyone else have OTA updates lagging behind?

I'm curious...which one do you like? I use Fox Body...and if I had to use another one it would be the normal one. I don't get my information as quickly on the other ones with the bar graphs.

    Most overpriced options...

LOL well said! I applaud your success and I realize that a number of us get to the Mustang early in life with skill, hard work and good ideas! I love to see successful young people. I think it's one of the things that makes this car special: you'll have rich people and regular folks buying the...

Is Ford Selling Our Driving Data to Insurance Companies?

Right, I should have said disconnect the modem before I leave for the track, and reconnect when the car is back in the barn. I don't think driving data is accumulated for later transmittal once the modem is reconnected, except the black box data. But I don't know that for sure and would like to...

    Most overpriced options...

Yes, and perhaps one of the reasons why we can afford this extra toy is precisely because we have the small voice in our head reminding us of the value of things. I suspect for many of us, the discipline of saying no to mushrooms and lattes and bagging a lunch for work over time means you get...

Is Ford Selling Our Driving Data to Insurance Companies?

I meant disconnect the modem in the connectivity settings menu. That's a real question. From what I understand the driving information gathered (and transmitted when driving with the modem turned on) has a buffer of roughly 40 seconds? Or does the car have the memory space to accumulate and...

    Most overpriced options...

I think Magneride could have been cheaper. I think Recaros, colored calipers and active exhaust are correctly priced. I almost picked colored seatbelts but held myself back. It should be half of what they charge for it.

Is Ford Selling Our Driving Data to Insurance Companies?

I just read up on this and from what I gather, the driving data stored in the machine is 20 seconds before and after an accident. So roughly a 40 second memory buffer of driving events. Which, to me, means I can drive to the track, disconnect, do my track day and drive home, reconnect and no...
