  1. Windshield Wipers Recall Campaign Be Aware

I'm literally quoting the Recall Ford sent out. That said....I should have rephrased it as a question....how are they going to test it in the summer? Recall date: 2026-06-29 Recall no: 26V418000 Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024-2026 Mustang and 2025-2026 Mustang GTD...
  2. Windshield Wipers Recall Campaign Be Aware

    1) Wiper parts have no fix or replacement parts until March 2027 2) Wiper motors are reported to act up only in cold weather, so testing in Summer does nothing.
  3. My Adventures in Upgrading the Subwoofer and Center Speaker

I'll have to try it with the seat up, but always loading groceries, etc in the car. Love the extra room! I got the 8 ohm center speaker. People who replaced with 4 ohm reported no issues, but I agree with you, keep apples to apples. IMO the Redline or Hifonics sub is a better option not...
  4. My Adventures in Upgrading the Subwoofer and Center Speaker

Frank: Good info! Sig: Your dog can always go to a community college....:giggle:
  5. 2027 Mustang Dark Horse SC Convertible Officially Revealed

It's cool for sure, but why a dial to select gear? The most unsporty thing you can put in a sports car.
  6. Refueling is difficult

    It's all good....no worries.
  7. My Adventures in Upgrading the Subwoofer and Center Speaker

Nice. upgrading the amp is the most effective thing to do. I just don't want to dig that deep....lol
  8. My Adventures in Upgrading the Subwoofer and Center Speaker

Yes that is it. The key is the RMS wattage and sensitivity which is comparable to the Hyfonics. I bought the Hyfonics sub which I believe is comparable and also half the price. I'd have to hear the DD to compare for real of course. IMO you can't go wrong with either.
  9. My Adventures in Upgrading the Subwoofer and Center Speaker

Stevo: Swapping the sub takes less than 1/2 hour. 3 easy to see bolts and the whole box comes right out. Easy unclip at the back. You will kick yourself you didn't do it sooner. It sounds THAT much better. Install that DD, the Pioneer turned out to be a very poor choice for the stock sub...
  10. My Adventures in Upgrading the Subwoofer and Center Speaker

agreed Zig. My take is that this sub in our car has such a high crossover it just sounds like any of the other speakers. It's the most non-sub sounding sub I ever heard.
  11. My Adventures in Upgrading the Subwoofer and Center Speaker

Nice 71!! The rest of the B&O system is not too bad once replacing the sub. It just wakes up the other speakers. Still, it seems the door woofers do all the heavy lifting. How do you like the new sound???
  12. Refueling is difficult

There's TSB's on it. https://repairpal.com/problem/ford/mustang/hard-to-fill-up-with-fuel-500 https://themustangsource.com/forums/attachments/repair-service-help-739/gas-tank-slow-fill-548463/tsb07-21-12-213357d1621361008 The 2nd link shows an actual TSB for the S197. it says the TSB...
  13. Refueling is difficult

Yes it's the pump. That pump can work just fine on one car, but pull a car up with a saddle tank or faulty filler neck, or clogged vent valve, issues occur. Other pumps with less pressure don't reveal underlying issues with a car's tank system. A car with no tank filling issues can go to any...
  14. My Adventures in Upgrading the Subwoofer and Center Speaker

I absolutely agree with you Fruitstang, that a good subwoofer with the proper frequency should not be locatable. But...The subwoofer setting in these cars has a very strong crossover frequency, making it sound more like a rear speaker than a true subwoofer any day. Pan the surround setting...
  15. My Adventures in Upgrading the Subwoofer and Center Speaker

Try it...with both back seats up, the sound just sits there muffled in the trunk. If you have easy exit/entry enabled on your driver seat, don't fold down the seat behind you. the driver seat motor gets hung up because the folded down back seat prevents the driver seat from gliding all the...
  16. Refueling is difficult

Did you ever Google the issue...... because if it never happened to you and 3 other people, it doesn't exist? and it's mentioned a LOT on 7G forums. Now if you want to debate what's a "common" problem that's a gray area, but manufacturing design issues on the vent tube, and filler neck are...
  17. My Adventures in Upgrading the Subwoofer and Center Speaker

It's great actually hearing music behind you isn't it? Do you have a rear seat folded down? that makes a huge difference too.
  18. Refueling is difficult

This is our gas tank. It is commonly referred to as a "Saddle Tank". It is closer to being 2 tanks with a hump in the middle that gas has to pass across. If there is too much back pressure from filling up too fast, the pump thinks the tank is full before the other side fills up. Some nozzles...
  19. My Adventures in Upgrading the Subwoofer and Center Speaker

Congrats!!! Looks good too! My Hifonics didn't come with a trim ring unfortunately. But it's just a trunk, so I don't care too much. I'd love to hear the Redline and Hifonics side by side to see who wins. Would have to hear in person though, no way a video could capture a true difference.
