Iām more afraid of Traction Control on. I donāt like the idea of brakes being applied when I am still in control.
If you donāt mash the pedal while turning thatās 95% of the problem cured. I have gotten comfortable with Normal Mode as far as knowing how far down to push the pedal relates...
Froddogā¦I agree. Iām always looking for places to drive to. It has got me excited about driving again after driving my 06 GT for so long.
TBH, I have some bad back issues that can last a few days at a time and kill my enjoyment of driving. Long drives are also intolerable, so I deal with the...
Thanks so far for the feedback all!
Ah Ryan, the resident ballbuster of the forum strikes againā¦ā¦.:wink:š¤£, (BTW, if you can find another thread that asks favorite drive mode, please link it here, Iād like to read it)ā¦ā¦and then proceeds to give a very insightful answerā¦lol. The worst...
OK, I did try to find an already existing thread on preferred Drive Modes, but just couldnāt find one. I got tired of searching and figured making a new thread isnāt the worst thing in the world. So if there was a thread on this, which Iām sure there must beā¦go easy on meā¦.I tried. It aināt...
Hereās what I didā¦.I have a driver profile set on the door on button 1. After I changed the gauges and didnāt save, I pressed 1 on the door and it did not revert to my preferred gauge cluster.
Is that what you are referring to as well? Or am I missing something?
Yeah some spoilers require the module to be removed for reasons I donāt know offhand.
Welcome to the world of making things harder than they had toā¦lol. I know it well.
Today I reset my ambient lighting and gage colors, then hit Driver Setting 1 on the door. Other than seat and side mirror, I can confirm it DID reset the My Color Lighting, but did not change the gage cluster look.
My guess is that since gage cluster looks change with Custom Drive profile...
Try heat. Either wayā¦youāre going to be there a while.
I didnāt remove the module because the new spoiler just tapes on. I lifted the old spoiler too hard and popped that module tape and couldnāt get it back down. Now the module edge sits high off the trunk on one sideā¦crap.
The new spoiler...
If you donāt have an eraser wheel, try a hair dryer on it and just keep rubbing it off. Your thumbs will hurt when you are done though.
Goo Gone helps too.
Yeah, its crazy, but it seams to be more common than people realize. Chrysler did it to make up for poor tolerances. I wouldn't want that sludge in a brand new car, but it happens. I'm glad to see nice bright coolant in my car!
Yes I know they make orange coolant. Factories also add Bars Stop Leak which will change the color of coolant.
and yes, The Mustangs should have the yellow coolant.
And my Prowlerās coolant was murky brown because Stop Leak was added at the factory. Apparently to make up for the poor tolerances of the engine block.
In fact, more auto manufacturers have added Barās Stop Leak at the factory than you think.

I just donāt know if it should be that color at such an early stage. One theory I have isā¦it might be possible someone added Stop Leak for whatever reason. Just a possibilityā¦but you said you saw it change color. Was it ever bright green at any point???
When I had my Prowler my coolant was...
Based on what you have shown in more detail, and what the manual says, you might be OK. Still surprised the coolant darkened after only 18K miles though.
Thatās interesting. Itās my understanding that the recall is mandated by NHTSA and Ford has no say in the matter. Signing a liability waiver didnāt seem like an option.
But that said, if thatās how it went down, good for you! Get that key fob and burn rubber outta there before they change...
Your coolant doesnāt look as black as it did in your first pic, and I donāt see any oil sheen. (If anything, oil and water donāt mix.)
Another factor you havenāt mentioned is how many miles on the car.
al that considered, it still looks a little darker than I would like to see in my car...
Yeah, thatās not good. If you brought in the car to your dealer with the coolant reservoir looking like that and they said nothing, they should be slapped.
It actually could be a blown head gasket. That could also explain your coolant loss as it might have been leaking into your block.
Check...
