Active exhaust is well worth it. as well as 3.55 gears. Everything else is gravy.
maybe it's easier just to check out your local dealer and see what's on the lot. Make your decision easier and not have to wait to get it.
Thank you. But my recommendations just piggy backed on what others here already did. I was also trying to follow correct ohms ratings.
This new sub will be an interesting theory test.
Your diagram is handy. But I already modified the enclosure once for the Pioneer. When the new sub comes I'll find out the hard way what works and what doesn't. Might even have to drill more mounting holes, who knows, LOL....
I'm going to play my stereo car off/car on, and see if there is an...
My 2025 is on the ragged edge of annoying with all the electronic nanny crap. At least I can toggle most of it off (USA). It makes me miss my 06 GT. But hey, this new car is awesome on so many ways, it's just a list of pros and cons.
One thing I know....I will NEVER buy any car newer than...
I'm staying with the stock amp. I don't want to upgrade the amp and end up with problems. I just don't know this B&O system well enough to modify it and not screw something up.
My theory is the lower wattage sub will be more sensitive to the power that's there. I spent over an hour trying to...
FWIW: Update. The Pioneer sounds better than OEM but lacks punch. Research and my theory is the sub is too high a wattage. The sub is 1300W which I think is way too high for the weak power the stock amp is supplying. My research says a sub with a wattage ceiling much higher than the power...
There's 2 amplifier fuses and one "Audio Unit" fuse. Not sure what pulling those may do. Some have talked about removing the interior mics which feed noise cancelling info, but there's like 3 or 4 of those I think.
The 10" Pioneer I got was 1300W, which is way too high. The SW10 you got seems rated at 600W which seems much more reasonable. I wish I got the one you bough. I bet it does sound better.
I might replace my Pioneer with this one...
Interior conversations have a weird muffled sound. Especially with the stereo on, even on low. Like a dullness you get from noise cancelling headphones.
I'd get Forscan maybe someday ...just to strip any false sounds out of the interior.
Yes, much better than the $1.29 speaker that is OEM.:cwl:
The Pioneer sub is an improvement, but still massively underpowered. With both rear seats up you can't hear it at all. I keep one rear seat folded down to hear it a little better. Bonus: the exhaust is a little louder inside as well...
there's a 3rd recall. Just today I got the letter about the windshield wiper possibly malfunctioning in freezing weather. There's a recall with no fix until March 2027.
The best rear window louvers are the aluminum ones. CJPonyparts has them. I think that's where I got mine...or American Muscle...one of those. $600 well spent.
Side window louvers: Ford's are way overpriced. I got decent ones from American Muscle. Nice gloss black for like $65. Only catch...
I painted a Traxxas clear body for my 4 Tec RC car yesterday. The body is made for their drift car chassis, but I modded it as a magnet mount, so it's clipless. Also have a V8 sound module in it, so it sounds pretty cool. it's brushless, so it's fast as hell.
