try being a lube tech somewhere and having to drop those shields off of 16 cars a day, and on some cars (TOYOTA !!!) the plastic push clips are almost "single use" items.
In the bad old days when I was wrenching full time, this was simple stuff.
Now it is R&R shields and the reset procedures for maintenance or oil life monitors are a royal PITA especially if you work in a general repair shop like I do, I see different makes and models all day long and end up either looking for the reset procedure on YouTube or plugging my scanner into do it, which is sometimes faster than trying to get thru all the menus to find the right screen
