I was talking about the Vette.. :) And you did exactly what I did, maintenance and dealers played a big role for me: it was imperative for me to have access to the service and warranty all across the Europe with no limitations (I travel a lot, often remaining in a foreign country for long) and the only brand I've found offering me this (on this kind of vehicles) was Ford and Porsche, others (Chevrolet, Dodge.. etc.) had their "limitation".

I also sold my Bullitt last week as well, and bought the Dark Horse (what a coincidence.. :D ), the difference is that i "lost" 30k on it (it was perfect, but for me it played a big role the mileage: I passed the 100.000Km mark..; also I couldn't sell to a private because I had no time to spend in negotiations, so the dealer paid to me a lower price), on the other side I've bought the DH for a much convenient price.

I am glad I was able to get the Dark Horse when I did... I Definitely would not be buying it with the price increases. My order for 24 was originally cancelled after an 8 month wait and I found the same spec headed somewhere else.
With these price increases though, no chance I would have gone this route. I would have definitely found a low mileage Mach 1 or something.

Agreed, I almost walked out of the finance office with the way I was getting treated in there. This car was my retirement gift to myself. Spacing a 25MY out identical to what I just got that the sticker was $75k on now comes in at $82k. Sadly when I ordered my car in March of 23 the invoice was $70k and the dealer refused to price match it. Mostly because they have a line of customers willing to pay over sticker for it still.

Yup, same. Wouldn't even consider a DH unless we see 4-6% under invoice pricing.

At 60-65k, my pick would be a G87 M2. At 75-80k, my pick would be a C8 Z51. The DH is pretty much in no man's land.

Yeah, it’s annoying how hard it has been to get the one I wanted, but I got lucky and I’m glad I did. The first dealership I tried to work with on one was awful about their markups. Luckily I got this one without paying a markup.

Ehh to each their own. I considered an m3 competition or an m2, but the driving experience was boring to me. I drove a manual non competition too and it just didn’t feel anywhere near as good as the tremec in the mustang. I wouldn’t consider a c8, but I did briefly consider a c7 z06 in manual. Just never saw the right one

Well, sometimes it's not just about price or which car is "faster". 😉
Agreed. My opinion is that Ford should have priced these in the $50-60k range. It wouldn't even have been an internal debate (between the G87 or C8) at that point. I just don't think the DH would be able to sell at the same volume (assuming Ford had the production capacity) as the C8 in the current price range.

Exactly... its what car resonates with you and gives you that "feeling" every time you sit in it and start it up.

It is a 5K increase from my 2024 to the 2025 exact build, the Less grabber blue brake color as it is not an option. That is a lot.

$64k would now be $69K

So just for shits and giggles I built a 2025 GT/CS to mirror my 19’. The 25’ is $61,055. My 19’ was $49,500. And I thought $50k was insane for a Mustang. I think I’m going to keep to my 10 year plan. 🤭
