Very interesting, just wonder how reliable it is.
There's a liability involved being that the bpv is not connected to the vacuum lines but controlled electronically instead, so product quality is very important. But this could motivate a lot of users boosting their car as its basically a "boost...
Centrifugal SC build boost with rpm so if you want to limit boost you can avoid revving it past the rpm that produces the amoubt of boost desired. A tuner can set the rpm limiter where you want it to be. If you want boost to come in sooner get a smaller pulley and set up the rpm limiter...
Maybe electric cars are not the solution but climate problems are real.
I'm happy we can keep driving our v8 but something needs to be done to mitigate and hopefully solve our climate issues.
+1 on tire size
I use my HP DH as a daily and switched tire size to 285/35 front and 295/35 rear. When I replace these I might move up to 295/35 front and 305/35 rear making it the same size as oem gt350 used to have. This bring it to the non HP tire height. Continental makes an excellent...
Changed my oem filters at 9k miles and this how they looked like.
With a freer flowing filter this crap would have entered the engine. I'm sticking to oem paper filters and will replace them at shorter than 9k miles intervals.
Because they cant drive a MT? 🤣
C8 is a great weekend car, no doubts. But a manual DH to me is more fun enytime and its also a pretty practical daily drive.
Actually, using the engine vacuum to pull out excess gasses from the crankcase is one of the few bright things the government did. Not only for the environment but for our engines longevity too.
I installed both but only passenger side catches oil as its connected after TB(vacuum). After an oil change interval the driver side was clean so I proceeded to remove it. Prefer having easier access to dipstick than a useless canister.
I can give it a shot, would be great if it was offered as a turn key "sleeper kit" option though 😉
When do you estimate to open orders? Is the Dark Horse going to have a dedicated kit like the Mach 1 did?
Brevin, is it possible to configure the kit with a quiet enclosed bov like a Tial QRJ?
Kind of making it a BPV instead of BOV?
I'm trying to set up the quietest possible kit making it sound as oem as possible.
Tial Q bov constant whoosh annoyed me while cruising/daily driving my s550...
One more question: is the intake connected to one of the front nosrils or goes down between the wheel liner and fender like the s550?
On the s650 DH there a cooler(oil?) in that position and being low is also more vulnerable in case of flooding(frequest where I live).
