I laughed at this at first...........but you could be on to something. Obviously Ford wants to keep the styling hidden for now, so reliable camo would be a high priority. BUT......if they were going to test the camo's durability, you'd assume they'd be able to do that on their private test tracks........unless they want "real world" testing. And they'd do this with an S550 just in case the camo failed.

Maybe not testing the durability, but if it disguises like it should?

Unless there are actually new elements on that car to hide to that extent, what else could be the purpose of all that camo?

Since Ford added some strange bumper lights to the mach 1 prototypes just for fun and giggles, who knows why they camod this Gen 6. I guess they are testing some stuff that mostly under the hood, but wouldn't quite fit a Gen 6 so they had to cut things off or add wires.

They canceled Gen 7 after this one prototyped and will resell us the Gen 6

If.......IF the original spy shots at the test track were genuine and not an "official Ford leak"......then this camo'd S550 could be being used to divert attention away from the track where the real work is still being undertaken. Still seems odd though!
