Most regulations in Europe are bound to the homologation date. I haven't heard of any upcoming new noise restrictions, but even if that would happen that only would affect a future facelift that needs a new homologation
Yeah of course I will record new soundclips when the car is outside, rev a bit higher when the oil in warm and also of course I record my driving from the interior including how it sounds. I just don't have a S550 as a comparison this time and time is quite strict to get everything recorded. I...
Already filmed that, check the video at 13:35
It sounds slightly different on film to the 18 GT because of the different environment, to our ears it sounded identical to 18 GT
Already checked that, the EU GT has the USB port behind the mirror 👍
Good point, will check that
Should be a GT...
I will be able to drive a EU S650 next week and record it. If anybody has special things he wants to know or see, please let me know. Car is brand new, so of course no performance measurements
Yes, the european dealer can track the status with build date, estimated shipping and estimated arrival date. But in my experience most dealers will only call you once the car arrives at their lot and don't track your order regularly
With Gen 6 you could track your EU Mustang by using the Ford API, the web tools did nothing. But afaik Ford killed all the european connections years ago, so no tool can show you anything for export models
The DH has a shorter axle ratio. This is a special thing for europe as US GTs with Performance Package gets the same ratio as Dark Horses
EU GT vs EU DH
AT: 3.15 vs 3.55
MT: 3.55 vs 3.73
Of course you can upgrade power. You just have to measure and adjust the new pollution values since taxes are bound to this value - Otherwise it counts as tax evastion.
But S650 has an encrytped ECU. While there will be cracked ECUs in the future for sure, it becames quite expansive to gett a...
Yes, you can already find some of the S650 in the showrooms at car selling sites. And I know someone who reserved on of the early build DH at a dealer. Seems like the DHs will arrive around March.
Here's the GT I filmed up for sales with a discount:
Ford Mustang 5.0 GT NEUES MODELL SITZBELÜFTUNG...
I don't know if you have to modify the ECU for that. That could be a problem since the ECU of the S650 is encrytped and I think it hasn't been unlocked by a tuner yet
Since you can get like 17% discounts on M2 here in Germany (not M240i, the real 460 hp one) it starts at 64k€, Dark Horse with let's say 10% discount starts at 65k€. With options (HUD, assistants, etc) you can get the M2 in the mid-70k range. So I would say in the final price you pay the M2...
While European GTs have the Performance Package included we don't get the axle ratio that usually comes with that on US models.
The EU GT has 3.15 AT and 3.55 MT. EU Dark Horse has 3.55 AT and 3.73 MT.
It actually is a big step down from 18 GT, which already came with 3.55 AT as standard...
The GTs with GPF (since 2018) sound great. Could be little bit louder maybe, but they don't sound muffled to me. The 15 GT was laughably bad in comparison and definitely needed aftermarket adjustments
All EU models seem to have Auto Start-Stop, but at least we can deactivate it completely for the driving modes. So it seems like modes like Sport and Track don't have it on and for your custom modes you can set it up as you want.
That's my understanding of remote start in europe too, but the...
@VLG To my ears and my friends who where there to check out the car too, the 18 GT and 24 GT sounded the same. The minor difference might be having the 24 standing in a hall with a desk behind the rear while the 18 was out in the open.
