I guess it depends on the person. You can argue that someone purchasing a used car would want it to be untouched. If I were to buy a used Ford of some kind and it had some FORScan changes, it would not bother me one bit.

I'll tell you what: Whoever ends up with my F150 is going to be very happy with all the fun stuff I have enabled and installed on mine. 🤣
The point I was trying to make... I should have been more clear.... Was that the new owner could potentially buy the car with the changes... And then Ford could over the air update the car and wipe some of the changes.... Leaving the owner scratching his head wondering why certain things didn't work anymore. Lol

I have had a search around including through this thread, can anyone provide instructions on how to turn off the galloping sound upon start-up (see video). It doesn’t make a whole lot of logical sense to me but this is what I hear currently:

Door open seatbelt off = 4 chimes
Door open seatbelt on = 5 chimes 🤔
Door closed seatbelt off = 4 chimes
Door closed seatbelt on = 1 chime

Also, is it normal that each time I set a change in FORScan I lose a lot of my settings (e.g. cluster theme reverts to base, 24hr clock changes to 12hr, pre-collision assist switches all nannies back on, MyColour resets to base, alarm system “ask on exit” reverts to on, tyre pressure changes to kPa) but it remembers others (e.g. quiet start schedule, audible feedback off (in “Locks”), connectivity features (disabled data sharing), touchscreen beep off, instrument cluster).

You want to turn that sound off and I want to turn that sound on. I lost that sound after owning the car for 1 month and I have no clue why I dont have that sound anymore.

Read through this thread and watched the tutorial. What are the common changes everyone is making here? Disabling ANC and ESE seem popular.

@BuckeyeBOSS if you’ve read through this thread then you’ll have a good idea of which are the common changes but I have done ESE off, and I’m testing out continuous gear display at the moment (enabled today) but not sure I like it tbh - it’s additional info on the screen that I don’t really need when not in manual mode, and given the size of the gear number and it constantly changing in automatic I find it distracting. The other thing I did was enable remote rev, which depending on your market may be disabled as standard but is there in FORScan.

The other thing I would really like to do but can’t find any instructions on how to do it is replace two of the soft keys on the centre console for track features. First the heated steering wheel because here in the desert I’m never going to need it! There is also a max rear window demister in both soft and physical buttons 🤯 neither of which I will need either. Confused further that one of those wasn’t a max AC button 🤷

Anyone know if it is possible to reprogram the soft or physical keys? Or even add more options to the Favourites button menu?

Was it after an OTA and if so, do you remember which one?

I dont think this will turn off the galloping sound. And yes everytime i mess with Forscan changes the car resets things sometimes randomly. But it usually reverts itself also, I think it then loads my saved button settings on door. The galloping sound i think can be set but im not sure which thread I saw that maybe do a search to see if you can find it. Goodluck Dark Sprite 🍻
