I'm a hyper-meticulous OCD freak and here are some notes I made for myself regarding these parts:

Underbody Tray and Related Parts
--------------------------------
Screw and Spring Washer - 4.2 x 25mm (7mm head)
W715060S450B
15x (around periphery of splash shield)
(May rarely need to replace these)

Locking Pin - 8.5 x 10mm
"Two-Piece Push Pin"
W714975S300
3x (on front edge of splash shield)
(Stem is actually 8.5mm x 27mm)
Best non-OEM replacement: Auveco 20992 (https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=12543397) (slightly short by 3mm)
Cheaper non-OEM replacement: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D6KRWLL (slightly short by 5mm)
These also seem to be easily available on eBay if you search the Ford part number for a part that is similar to what is on the Mustang: "W712196-S300"
(Turns out you don't even need these)

Radiator Support Splash Shield Clip Miscellaneous Hardware - Trim Pin 7.6 x 20
W709371S300
2x (in mid-section of splash shield)
Best non-OEM replacement: Auveco 23966 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CK71FPHC)
Cheaper non-OEM replacement: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09SD7KJXP
Judging by Ford's name for the OEM part "7.6 x 20", presuming millimeters, this would be 0.33mm larger in stem diameter and 0.64mm shorter in stem length, which seem negligible
These also seem to be easily available on eBay if you search "bumper push pin" and the specs should be 8mm x 20mm (stem width x length)
(Turns out you don't even need these)

Expansion Nut Bumper Splash Shield
W716529S900
(W715060S450B screws into this, shouldn't ever really need to replace these)

Engine Compartment Splash Shield
PR3B6B629AB aka PR3Z6775A
(Shouldn't ever really need to replace this)

Replace the pine cones with push rivets. The pine cones break 50% of the time....

These are the Ford ones for the ones that break 100% of the time.

They come in 4 packs, but are sold individually.

This thread was perfect timing. Got me looking under mine. I had what I thought was another parts come loose (heat extractor) on the hood which it did the other night. I tightened it up and had to order 1 nut that came off. I thought that created the knocking noise because it stopped. This afternoon, while on the road, a friend told me I had something hanging down. Yep... now I need to order the belly pan. I believe they are back ordered and shipping from the manufacturer at this time. Mine is toast. Also noticed some of the 7mm screws use the same holes my strakes go into and they are loose as well. Emailed my friend whose a parts manager to order the belly pan, all screws and retainers. Ill just schedule my oil change there this time at his dealership.

Bringing this one back from the dead. Any reason nutserts wouldn't be a better option than the plastic plugs? May have to drill the holes a bit, but I'm getting really, REALLY tired of snapping the plastic plugs and then having to find new ones.

Do the people who have these regularly break use proper pin removal tools?
I haven't broken one since I got a couple of these tools. But I broke a few using screwdrivers.

I replaced mine with the rivet type (pull up on center to remove) instead of the fir tree type... makes it so much easier to remove them.

It's not as much as the wrong tools as the cold and lack of lifts. Hard to do it on a cold garage floor without breaking them. They've also seen a lot of removal and reinstallation. I'm at 36,xxx miles.

I saw on "Sarah N Tuned" on YT that she uses one of her car care products on the pins on older cars and it seems to reduce breakage.
