    I understand your sentiment here, but I would say that all OEMs do it for production. What is quicker and easier to assemble on the line. Engineered to put together, not to service.

    I know you aren't talking to me, but I drove mine for 500 miles without it with some hard pulls. No temp change. It changes the air pressure under the car quite a bit. A lot more hood flutter.
