Well… this post didn’t age well. Didn’t drive at all yesterday. Woke up this morning to clean my wheels and wash my car. Dead as a can be. Picked up a new battery, installed, checked for DTC. No engine light or codes.

Try the right button (on the wheel) and the volume down button (on the wheel) simultaneously. I don't think the combo you did, does anything. If it does, that is news to me.

In a carbonated :cwl: carbureted or IDI engine yes. In a DI engine no. The fuel in a DI engine is sprayed directly into the combustion chamber and does not follow the path of the air (that includes the "oily or dirty air"). This is why the oil separator is key.

This is a great tip for someone storing their car. Not really needed though for a car that gets driven as frequently as every few days. The trade off is stress on the starter. Will add that more than the 8 seconds is frowned on. You can overheat a starter motor quickly after that.
