3D printing has really opened the door on custom fabing for small-medium sized parts, there will most likely be a ton of titanium shift knobs available, probably of all different colors too.

I've never even thought of how messed up a thief would be if you put one of those round manual looking shifters on an automatic. Just mask the park, drive, etc on the left side.....:giggle:
that really would trip up a would-be thief, wouldn't it?
here's the manual shift boot part numbers if anyone is planning on doing that
black stitching: PR3Z-7277-AA
metal grey stitching: PR3Z-7277-BA
gallery grey stitching: PR3Z-7277-CB
race red stitching: PR3Z-7277-DA
bright indigo stitching: PR3Z-7277-FA

I really liked the weighted shifter in the Honda S2000. Not sure what Mustang equivalents are there.

I'm going to order the Shift Solutions CS Titanium knob. In my previous cars I LOVED the TMWPerformance M1 Abrams knobs but unfortunately they are out of business. This is pretty close to it... I contacted Shift Solutions and they confirmed it's cut for the Mustang reverse lockout so it's a simple screw on affair. It weighs 290 grams; sounds perfect for me!

Just got a custom titanium shift knob from Billetworkz. I wanted something that looked as close as possible to The Dark Horse's shift knob without having to spend an exorbitant amount of money. While it was pricey ($175) i would much rather pay that than $600 for OEM.

I think I’m going to look for a light grey ball to match the accent stitching and line on the seatbelt which I believe comes with the premium.

Always wanted a white ball shifter so I ordered this and it just showed up a couple days ago. Was skeptical as it was so cheap but it's actually super nice! It's engraved instead of painted on like many others and the weight feels good. Can't wait to actually put it in my car and see how it feels. No negatives about it but if I end up not liking it it's cheap enough not to care. But I do see myself keeping it as I love the look and feel.
Just got this, can't wait

You know I'm a little paranoid about theft (had a hellcat, so the paranoia is justified). I wonder if the titanium dark horse shift knobs will become a targeted item. I love the billetworkz titanium knobs ya'll have found. I might use one of those and keep the OEM knob as a trophy somewhere.

But again that's just me being way paranoid, and an excuse to get something custom.

A while back I found a guy that was custom drilling pool/billiard balls for use as shift knobs. At first I thought they might be too big. But I took a chance and I bought two of them.

At 2-1/4" in diameter, they are perfect for my hand:

Even in the hottest weather they stay pretty cool. ….
8-ball 👍🏻

the friggin metal get way hot. I may need to give one of these a try if we end up looking for something.
