    2024 Mustang Scheduling This Week (4/11/24) for Production Weeks 6/3 - 6/24

I'm hoping I'm in the limited availability group and finally get scheduled.

    2024 Mustang Scheduling This Week (3/28/24) for Production Weeks 4/29 - 5/27

There is that, but I won't be holding my breath, I will asphyxiate!

    2024 Mustang Scheduling This Week (3/28/24) for Production Weeks 4/29 - 5/27

Unfortunately, the magic is gone. The dream has become a nighmare. Waiting a full year for Ford to get their shit together is ridiculous and apparently impossible. In my case, No schedule this week = canceled order. Bye, bye Ford!!

Anyone think they’ll cancel the 2024 and I’ll have to re-order a 2025 Dark Horse?

Tomorrow will be exactly 1 year since I placed my order, well 1 year and 1 day counting the 29th of February. If not scheduled on Thursday, which is very unlikely as just about every Dark Horse option I have on my order is exhausted, I am done and will cancel and keep my money. I WILL NOT GO...

2024 Mustang Retail Scheduling This Week (2/22/24) for Production Weeks 4/1 - 4/22

Likely indoor storage, but "Temp controlled", very unlikely.

2024 Mustang Retail Scheduling This Week (2/22/24) for Production Weeks 4/1 - 4/22

They probably didn't purchase any of the Trofeo RS tires, likely too cold to move or store them. So, now likely another few weeks for them to stock the tires, then schedule. Sad part is that no one wants these tires anyway, every mention of these tires were they wore out in less than 5,000...

Why did you get an Automatic over a 6 Speed?

Same here. That 5.0 was pretty quick and shocked many a light to light hero. Funny, Ford even designated it as 5.0L H.O. (High Output). It was the ancestor that all later Fox body models drew their DNA from. Without it, we might not have the pony cars we have today. Lucky us, LOL!

Why did you get an Automatic over a 6 Speed?

I have owned several classic Mustangs from 1969-1970 model years, all were automatics and were a real blast, especially with a shift kit and a B&M slap shifter. My first "modern" Mustang was a 1982 GT with the 4 speed SROD, not a ton of power but it always seemed to be faster than the...

    Front inner wheel well issues

My preferred solution for rust is Ospho rust converter followed by a rust inhibitive paint like Rustoleum. Brush away any dirt, loose paint and rust flakes. There is no need to remove the rust to bare metal. Spray the entire area with Ospho, being careful not to get any on the body paint...

    Paint issues - dealership response

I work at a powerboat manufacturer and can state from personal experience that unfortunately, QC is Quality Control, not Quality Perfect. Most buyers don't want to hear this, but every manufacturer's QC department has a defect tolerance level for every aspect of their product. If the defects...

Dark Horse HP Pirelli Trofeo RS vs. Dark Horse R Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

Agreed! My plan also, but in reverse. Though I am still waiting on my DH, I got caught in the April "Purgatory".

Dark Horse breakdown by age bracket.

At 61, when I saw that DH in Blue Ember, I knew I was going to get one. It is an early Retirement present to myself. I haven't bought a new car since my 2001 Mustang GT. I currently own a 2003 F150 Sport and a 2006 Mustang GT Premium, which is lightly modified. It's a real fun car but getting...

WARNING: Check Dark Horse alignment on delivery

Good info and good luck. Let us know how things turn out. And these are the tires that Ford is soooo proud of and is using as a $hitty excuse for not building my DH HP car for 6 months, with them knowing full well that these tires aren't even going to last until the break-in miles are...

    Dark Horse HP

Yes, with DH HP only, not non-HP DH. They are supposed to ship loose with the splitter in the truck and installed at the dealership at delivery.

Dark Horse Handling package is still scheduling?

Not likely. Ford scheduling specifically called out no DH HP until April. It has nothing to do with any parts constraints. It has everything to do with the specialty summer only Trofeo tires that are included with the HP (Same for Mach 1's and Shelbys from previous generations with the Pilot...

Dark Horse Handling Package April 2024 Purgatory

Last Not yet. Ordered 6pm on 3/27 and last Email I got was on 14AUG23. If they are on schedule and still even sending the email updates, it should arrive in the next day or so.

First totaled S650 Mustang appears on Copart

"Brown decided to order a replacement rather than fixing his wrecked car." Not sure that is even a decision he can make. That car is toast and not repairable for street duty. It was hit hard enough to buckle the entire dash bad enough the glove door won't close. If any insurance company...

    First crashed S650

Everybody's insurance. The more get wrecked, the more risky the car is perceived and that increases everyone's insurance for this car.
