If you click on the link, there is more too it. I thought that the article looked incomplete, so I had to see it on the website myself.
That was an absolutely horrible article.

Whatever happened to journalism...

they don't teach that anymore. "here is the Ford PR, but use your own words".
When you grow people in environments where you're not allowed to question someone's "truth" or assault them with words that wound/kill because they run counter to the listener's preferences, you no longer have any semblance of journalism.

My S550 has a drift handbrake. The S650, not so much. I do like the new Mustang, but the electronic parking brake with a weird handle for a button isn’t one of its strengths.

Unlike us car enthusiasts, fighter jets have modernized with time. They aren’t p-51s anymore.
but the screens are built-INTO the panel for starters and also are a clear net benefit.
Though I'm sure there are plenty of cases where they went too screen happy and removed essential analog gauges and switches to the pilot's detriment.

Lame, zero critical journalism. This propaganda message is brought to you by the Ford Motor Company.
So you didn't think "ruthless culling of physical controls" could be construed as negative?

That was an absolutely horrible article.

What did you think was wrong with it? I thought it was pretty good, albeit brief and lacking details.

It's good to know the steering wheel is improved. When I get out of my cheap Toybaru and into my Ford, my hands hate me. The current steering wheel is terrible. Or at least the one in my 2017 is really bad. Maybe they've been better for a while. I thought the GT350 wheel was ok, but I prefer not to have Alcantara on the wheel either.

This part of the article actually made me consider trying/driving a new Mustang.

The pre-facelift steering wheel finished is truly horrible indeed. They did improve the material quality a bit with the 2018 facelift though.

Me neither.

I think it would be a lot cheaper to just get your steering wheel refinished. Plenty of specialists who can do that. I had this done 5 years ago and have forgotten all about how terrible it was before. It's probably my favorite mod, since you enjoy it every second you drive the car.

Video games, steering wheels and where I put my phone.

Disappointing article; they should rescind it, then publish something worthwhile as more details come to light.

Actual purchasing customers are much more critical, and rightly so.

Its unfortunate that I really looked forward to this car but the only thing that has me not ordering from the get go is the digital dash. Not because its digital but because it looks like a couple of Ipads seamlessly stuck together. I feel like it is going to block my line of sight. Almost like having a completely black low profile window on the harley. So now I have to wait until I find one in person I can sit in

Yup, and the F22 and F35 led the way for touchscreens in cockpits in military aviation.

In civilian space, the latest Gulfstreams are pretty much just computer monitors all around. That meme of an HDTV as the S650's interior is definitely true for some of the newest private jets available to the public 🤣. I mean, it makes sense. From an engineering perspective, they're perfect. They allow you to display what info you wany when you want it.

To echo what others have said - I don't think the simple fact its all screens is a bad thing. The disappointment stems from the poor integration into the dash.
