A Dark Horse allocation with Granger is worth quite a bit since you know the pricing up front. My interactions with Zach have been very positive. Let me put it this way, Iāll take your allocation if you donāt.
I bought a 2022 because Iām not sold on a whole bunch of stuff yet (e-parking brake, subscription navigation, lack of buttons, limited tuning, v notch backend, driver oriented interior, removal of original sport plus digital driver gauges, etc.). However, I did see a S650 GT in yellow splash...
I have less faith in āFord Authorityā after their S650 450HP debacle.

I had a 2020 GT, and I now have a 2022 GT with the Getrag. I certainly would prefer the Tremec, but I havenāt experienced any reliability issues with either Getrag that Iāve had. Iāve had the RPM lockout happen a time or two during some spirited driving, but I was pushing it pretty close to the...
I really like what they did to the F-150. Large screens that are integrated while retaining physical buttons.
Iām not a fan of the switch to subscription navigation or locking down mods though.
In the end, I like all mustangs and will probably have a S650 one day. However, Iām going to wait...
I do wonder if that might change for the 486 HP GT with the Active Exhaust. It would be interesting if the approximately 20 HP jump would necessitate the change from recommended to required. I guess the limit has to be somewhere.
It appears that 91 was recommended for the Mach 1 and not required. https://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/vdirsnet/OwnerManual/Home/Content?variantid=7577&languageCode=en&countryCode=USA&Uid=G2194016&ProcUid=G2194017&userMarket=usa&div=f&vFilteringEnabled=False&buildtype=web
I guess...
Upon closer inspection, no. The only change appears to be color accented front leather trimmed seats. It also looks like you can order most parts of the 401A package as separate options.
The standard āleatherā is leather trimmed front seats with vinyl back seats. The vinyl is good quality if itās the same that they put in my 2019 Expedition, but some prefer leather.
I liked the leather, memory seat function, digital display with horizontal RPM garage, adaptive cruise, and pony projection lamps on my S550. Itās not necessary, but certainly nice to have.
Itās definitely possible based on the testing that Ford has done and would be very cool to see in a production vehicle.

Once upon a time, I had the turbines so I like them more than most. Iām also a fan of the two tone paint. Not sure how it would work on a S650, but you never know.
Itās all possible with existing engines and components. Plus, Dodge printed money doing this for the last decade with minimal investment.
