Also, no reason that its 2023 and their Aluminum parts still get paint bubble issues.
Ford’s entire culture would have to change. Roof leaks, hydraulic fluid pooled on the floor, and decades of dust and grime on equipment in the plant are just standard operating procedure. You have to accept them for what they are and not what they will never be.

Dodge would beg to differ.
Ah yes the dodge method

Take a 20 year old chassis and keep throwing horsepower at it

Then pull out when that method isn’t viable due to regulations and cuck out with an EV model that makes Gran Turismo noises

Over 600k Challenger’s sold since 2008 isn’t anything to sneeze at. I hope the ICE Mustang survives longer than the S650, but we’ll see.

True that. I’d say everything we’re getting from Ford so far is 10000x better than an EV, or nothing at all in the case of its competitors

Lol y’all are absolutely clowning. One more NA variant, 1-2 FI variants.

They need to make a +650HP car with a manual. Dodge had their hellcat challenger, Chevy has the ZL1 & Blackwing.

How about now…

DH - 500 HP
Boss 307 - 550 HP
GT 350 - 600HP
Cobra 444 - 700 HP
GT500 - 900 HP (supercharged)

It’s all possible with existing engines and components. Plus, Dodge printed money doing this for the last decade with minimal investment.

A man can dream, can’t he?

The steering and interior quality were bigger issues than anything to do with power
agreed, the interior of the S550 definitely looks and feels like something from 2015
granted, i'll take it over what my Legacy had (or, rather, didn't have)

Let us not forget that we will also see a facelift model in probably 3-4 years, which will have more room for more BHP. It was the same for the S550. They went up from 420 to 450 and had that quad tips with the amazing sound.

I wouldn't be surprised if we came to the end of the S650 and see models with well over 500 BHP by 2030.

The obvious has already been addressed here.
The fat must go!
What you could save on suspension and rims alone...
...from the removal of unsprung mass benefits not only the exhaust emissions.
This costs money, of course, then the Mustang will soon no longer be a bread and butter car.
With e.g. 400 pounds less fat on the hips a V8 with less displacement would also work just fine.
Then the engine also weighs less, better for the weight balance.

Not happening ever. The average cost of a new car in the US now is more than a base GT. It is still a value for a soon to be 480HP car. But ask if you would pay $5/$10K more to drop 200/400 lbs what do you think most people would say?
