I found it at auto zone and yes one is enough, can use it with water+waterwetter or coolant+waterwetter

Using it with water gets the best results but bewhear if its cold out I hear it can be bad on a start up. Sooo I use the coolant+waterwetter

Been using it a year and has been working 🤙🏼

@TheGrabberBlueGT2024 ..... temps are a bit high but okay. They are also similar which is good. Texas can get pretty hot in the summer. You can easily have a small transmission fluid cooler added if you start surpassing 230 F or are running 228 all the time.

Yeah it’s not usually like this all the time. I haven’t found any aftermarket trans coolers sadly.

@TheGrabberBlueGT2024 ....try calling RSA (race solutions America) in Florida. They are Mustang transmission specialists. I bet they can ship you or hook you up with a small cooler that any decent tranny shop or performance shop can install in 30 - 50 minutes. I did this years ago with a 302 stang I had and problem solved in under 60 minutes. It also took some load off my main rad and dropped that temperature too. I have NOT tried this with a 24/25 stang but don't see why it couldn't be done. RSA will have "the" authoritative answer.

@TheGrabberBlueGT2024 ..... CORRECTION. The shop in Boynton Beach Fla. is RSA Race Solutions. They build the best mustang transmissions IMO anywhere and also build specialty Mustangs like the 2000HP 'Lambo Killer" - super videos of that encounter are on "google". GOOGLE - 2000HP Coyote Beats Lambo for a rockin' video for That Racing Channel who is on the ride along to video it!!!!!! Didn't want to steer you wrong so I googled it and it is RSA Race Solutions. Cheers.

In doing some research, it seems that normal operating temp on the A10 is between 175-220. This has been a big question going back to the S550 as well.

If you were using Paddles and doing hard pulls it stands to reason your temps would get high. If it were me I'd let it cool down some when seeing those temps.

As for the cooler, I'm confused by some of the statements here regarding the transmission. I thought all automatic transmissions had coolers by design. Are we saying the additional cooler is separate or an upgraded version? 🤷‍♂️

In looking at the parts online, it appears the PP and non-PP have different coolers.

Edit: Upon closer inspection of the PP cooler diagram, it appears the non-PP cooler is also a part of the PP system. In the bottom PP photo you can see that part #2 is the same as part #1 in the non-PP photo. I checked and the part numbers are the same for both. So, it looks like the PP does indeed have an extra cooler.

Hmmm. I'm curious to know the difference. Looks like maybe the PP version is assisted by an additional small radiator. I wonder where it's located.

I've got my car up on the lift at the house. If I have some time this weekend, I'll pull the cover from underneath and get some photos of the coolers to see exactly how it's setup.

I had a long stint of bumper to bumper traffic then got on it a little once things cleared up. I have no idea I’m trying to understand it as well.

Drove home from work today, made one stop along the way. Trans temp was 188 when I pulled in the garage. I did notice it slowly crept up the whole time and never dropped. 🤷‍♂️

30 min drive to work for me. Small pulls on the way it got up to 212 and bounced around between that and 208. Never went higher though. The cooling sucks on base models. I had to almost drive like a granny to get it do that. Driving harder would have absolutely made it continue to climb.

That's not high though. I doubt the PP cooler would make a huge difference.

Also, you may want to check your fluid level. I've heard from numerous people who's A10 was filled low from the factory.

Thought about that but I don’t seem to be exhibiting any signs that it would be low. Shifts aren’t jerky etc. Anything else I should look for?
