Not immediately, it’s just that if the oil is at the temp for a long period of time day to day it can reduced it lubricity property.
I’m running amsoil sig series in the motor part of me wants to go amsoil for the trans too. Even though I’m only at 5k miles.

I have a PP, and on the track in 90 plus degree ambient temperatures the transmission stays right around 220. I’ve had the axle overheat before I added a cooler, but never have had the transmission temperature up to 230. Of course with the PP, I have the extra coolers. Oil temperature does get up into the 270s.

Does having the pp give you the option for those extra add ons?

My understanding is that the PP has a larger radiator, larger transmission cooler and adds an engine oil cooler. The Dark Horse adds a differential cooler which is not included on the GT PP.

The only cooler I have added to my GT PP is the differential cooler.

So far for base models all I have found is oil coolers which I’m not really interested in. If Ford released these cars like this then I guess all is well.

I’ve had no trouble with my GT PP on the track except for the axle overheating, which was solved by adding the cooler.

For daily or “spirited” driving, I imagine these cars are fine with the regular transmission cooler. I do know the 10 speed in my F250 works best when it is HOT!

After stop and go traffic and small pulls in the city almost exclusively using the paddle shifters. Pulled into the driveway with 226 on the dash for the a10. Was actually 228 before I snapped the pic. Does ford have any guidelines on how hot the A10 actually gets? I’m aware the engine oil temp runs high but is it the same for the A10?

Little “waterwetter” in the coolant helps bring down the cylinder head temps and I'm getting a oil cooler off lethal soon to help with that oil temp.

What are high cylinder head temps? How much water wetter? I keep reading that 230 oil temps are really normal. That’s what keeps me away from the oil cooler.

Don’t worry too much, my 370z doesn’t have an oil cooler and it still runs. Oil cooler is just for track use. But people like myself do like it on the street car. Without oil cooler just do your fluid change earlier than you would.

From what I read engine oil temps have a much higher danger zone compared to the transmission temps.

Yea don’t worry too much about it. At 230 oil won’t break down. Just that it would reduce some of the lubricity properties by a little the longer it stays at the temp, nothing will fail.

So waterwetter the hole thing can go in with the coolant you using. Helps bring the temps of the heads down faster. Been using it a year and been seeing like 180s. And yes it's normal but I seen want my oil temps down since I live in south Louisiana. Oil cooling is to help bring it back down after a hard pull. Kinda up to you.

I found it at auto zone and yes one is enough, can use it with water+waterwetter or coolant+waterwetter

Using it with water gets the best results but bewhear if its cold out I hear it can be bad on a start up. Sooo I use the coolant+waterwetter

Been using it a year and has been working 🤙🏼
