I think that was a continuation of my "gobbless" joke.

Tremec. If it wasn't a tremec would've gotten the A10. Wife has her car. She can drive manual in an emergency, but it's really gotta be an emergency.

And as far as paddles go, they're fantastic in the Hellcat. So I'm sure using the paddles in the DH would be fun too. I just had to get that Titanium shift knob. Ford did say to the media it's the heart of the interior and God forbid I get a heartless DH....

Manual because it’s just not the same driver feel with the auto. For track use I want manual for better control. If it was a DCT then that might have swayed me.

My wife balked at the thought of an automatic in my mustang lol. In every one I have had it was stick.

“Automatic mustang…will you even like that?”

She knows me so well.

Ordered the m6 mt82 because I talked myself into agreeing it was fixed. talked myself out of it because why would Ford be ok with the mt82 in a 486hp mustang and not in a 500hp mustang?

I changed my order to the A10, no faith in that MT82 after the issues I had with my 2013.

So I’m curious if all you guys and gals would be so kind as to list which transmission you ordered with your new 2024 DarkHorse - just DarkHorse people please (because of the Tremec) not because of any perceived prejudices… thanks …

I ordered the 6 speed
Manual, for service reasons alone. The 10 speed auto has issues in many current Ford products. Have replaced them with less than 5k miles. For me the tremec was the only option. Did not desire to take the risk on my own car.

Exactly. I still (unfortunately) have a 2013 MT82 and it kills the fun in this car every time I drive it. There is no amount of money you could discount a Mustang by that would convince me to buy another MT82.

I have that MT82 in my 2013 with no issues, what issues are you seeing with yours?

MT82 in my 2011 can be notchy or sticky when she's still cold when warmed up seems fine. I'm sure the Tremec is a much better transmission. Auto for us so the wife will be able to drive the beast.

i got the 10R80, as it suits my needs better
the lane centering gives me basically discount/hands-on BlueCruise, i never know when the Loop 101 is gonna be stop and go, plus every now and then a nerve in my left hip decides it wants to be pinched for the day and i dont want to do money shifting like my grandpa did in his Mustang all the time.
also it's just funny to let a friend of mine drive something with 10 gears because he apparently never has before, his reaction to the M1's 10-speed was really funny to me.

I have had 3 10-Speed Auto's....2018 Ford Mustang GT Premium, 2018 Ford F150 Lariat 4X4 and 2018 Ford Lariat 4X2 Sport with a Whipple.
Never had any issues with the Auto in any of them.

The trans in the Mustang was the best Auto I have had. The sport mode made it really fun to drive.

Stick
Never even considered the auto. I'm just happy they still make it in stick.
