Oh, I'm sure they do! :D

Yeah, 45 and 70 IS a big difference, and that's not my issue. The issue I have is with Ford pricing a well equipped premium GT into M2 territory (and a few grand lower than base C8 territory), and that goes for the Dark Horse as well. It's also the fact that the S650 isn't exactly selling like hotcakes, and yet here we are with another significant price increase. It's slightly concerning for the direction of the brand. I don't want the core audience of Mustang buyers to be priced out, effectively telling Ford there's no reason to keep the brand around anymore.
I get what you're saying. They could just not offer the higher packages. But I wouldn't like that. I'm sure they're trying to sell it for as cheap as they can while still being profitable.

Add remote start and loose the 355
It won’t let you add it to the 6 speed 3.73 that oddly also includes the 3.55

These North american bean counters are trying to get the most profit that they can until Ford has no Mustangs selling. They are doing the samething thing they did on the Bronco Raptor and that bit them in the a$$ now they have a bunch sitting on the lot. I guess the Bean counters are trying to run off all their customers by pricing these Fords way too high. They even lowered the choices and went up on the price. I'am out on a new Mustang at these prices I would rather get a used GT500 which gives you way more performance than a Dark Horse. Dark Horse at 80,545 with track pack and 75,000 for the base one Ford has lost their ever living mind, especially when the 2022 GT500 with low miles can be had for close to that. They are pricing themselfs out of the market. At these prices they better upgrade their quality big time, get rid of the rental car interior and make the premuim interior standard at these prices.

Looks like the base GT seats are changing - my seats are all cloth but the 25 gt base seats are front leather trimmed and rear vinyl.

And I'm not surprised at all by the price increase. For 24 they were competing with the camaro, now there is zero competition for a v8 coupe in this price range.

Just to see, I built my exact spec 2024 Mustang with the 2025 builder, and the MSRP is $66,400 versus the $61,270 MSRP of my 2024. That’s a $5,130 or 8.4% increase. Granted some of that increase was made on the 2024 models after my build, but that’s still a pretty big jump. Just the base MSRP is up by $3,965 over my 24 model. I’m glad I got my 2024 early given the pricing increases we’re seeing.
Yep, built mine, also up over 5k.

I ordered a base 2024 GT w/10 speed auto, 301A, AVE, and 3.55 rear and the MSRP was $49535. The same build for the 2025 GT is $52460 around a 6% increase. Interestingly on the 25 the 10A is no upgrade and I'm not seeing an upgrade for the 3.55 like on the 24 but still almost 3K higher. Not to mention my Atlas Blue Metallic color is no longer an option so I'm glad I got my 24:)
The 3.55 upgrade is there—last section.

I'd say 45K since the Ecoboost isn't really relevant if you're comparing things like Vettes and M2s, but I agree with what you're saying. The thing is, not everyone wants a base 45K GT, and if you're looking at a Dark Horse, the gap to the Corvette is even smaller.
The 2019 - 2024 Ecoboosts (with Performance Package and MagneRide) were Ford's "M-Sport with Dynamic Handling" variant. I'm sad to see them go.

For what I want to get (GT, Automatic 400A, California Special, Active Exhaust), it looks like a 2-3K increase in price over last year. Not quite a deal breaker, but it's getting really close...and I can't even imagine how much the '26s will increase in price...

Wow, this is such a disappointment. I was actually waiting on the 2025s in hopes some things would be addressed, one of them being that rust promoting hole in the front fender, now to have to pay for any color other than black, grey, white and silver and a bump to the base GT msrp. That's ok Ford, I'm good. I'll keep what I got.

My build would be $7700 over what I paid. And, I would have to go with the Molten Magenta since Rapid Red is no longer an option. So glad I have mine already!

Hm, what made option made it jump that high? 🤔 Mine would be like 5k more. I got everything I could on the gt fastback, except the red seat belt lol

Maybe I'm a lone ranger on this, but even with the price hike I would still choose Mustang over any competition. To me, it's a sexier car with smoother lines than the competition. I'm not a Corvette guy. Never will be. I cross shopped the Nissan Z when I bought my car. Only one I would consider is the NISMO version, but no manual trans in that one so no option for me. I'm so glad I pulled the trigger on my GT. No regrets. Plus, does anyone get tired of that Coyote sound? I know we are all appalled by the changes/price increase, and I agree Ford took away more than they gave for 2025. Still, it's a great car and at least it is still in production. Long live the Mustang!

My car 2024, is pretty much loaded with options. DMG, Emberglo int, PP, NPP, Co pilot 360, with B/O, and Magnaride with an A10. Drove it off the lot in January for 54000 and change. This is crazy!
And the performance car of the year is a M2. Granted it's at 70 grand ish. But what are we doing?
