The major thing China controls are rare-earth metals needed to build permanent magnets.
The United States has its own supply of lithium. Texas is gonna see a lot of money from semiconductor and battery production in the future. As you mentioned with trade concerns with China, companies want to...
If you're primarily dealing with rock chips, it prevents that from being an issue. Otherwise, just get a good body shop on speed dial. Crap happens, you're going to get a dent or scratch that goes to the bare metal at some point. Thankfully, it can be professionally repaired to factory new.
Sadly, wireless charging implementation is a total crapshoot. Pixel phones do well, random off-brand Android phones do well, but then the flagship Apple and Samsungs phones overheat.
That's the problem with wireless charging in general. The alignment of the coils and phone have to be spot-on to avoid heating issues, so it's basically a coin toss whether your particular phone model will line up.
I love my wireless charger. I was expecting it to be terrible, but it works great with the Pixel 9 Pro. Of course my car only existed in 2024 year, all future Magneride Ecoboosts are going to be through RTR.
That narrows the market enough that Doug DeMuro is going to have to take another trip to Saudi Arabia to find a prince who buys an EV Jaguar for him to review.
Even a successful, traditional relaunch of Jaguar wouldn't save the brand. Tata motors (and Jaguar) depend on their dwindling Chinese market sales. Two years from now when they actually start making the EV Jag, who is the buyer?
The irony of their "original" design is that half the sledgehammers at Home Depot already have yellow fiberglass handles. It's Stanley's brand color, and the generic brands use yellow in their handles. Stanley sells black handle versions under the "Husky" brand at H-D.
The Sollei is how you do this kind of reveal correctly.
The Sollei is a bold fantasy, a timeless vehicle that drives on perfect sunny days, sipping champagne under the stars at the lake, not a worry or care in the world. Everything is fine, you're rich, you're driving an art piece surrounded by...
Yup, just post some pics, plenty of people here have worked on cars and can ballpark.
I'm taking my car into the body shop tomorrow, had a light fall of a shelf in the garage and gouge a door panel. I'll have it back before Thanksgiving good-as-new. A reputable shop will have no problem...
As long as you're not in gear, yeah.
If you're in a parking garage and throw it into reverse, you get the cross-traffic alerts for cars driving past. I just don't put my car into reverse until the way is clear.
For what it's worth, for any sports car I recommend having an independent body shop for the long-term maintenance. My pony is going in next week to get a door gouge repaired, if I didn't have a paint guy I knew did flawless work, it would be a lot more stressful to thrash my car.
Same for door...
I'm thankful to all of you who put your ponies away for winter. My Pirellis held on for ~1500 miles, but the front tires are done. Clearance sale Summer tires are a blessing for backroad and track enthusiasts in warm areas.
