For sure, I forgot to mention I really liked how it looked in person. Hopefully Adriatic Blue lasts for a while and even makes it onto the potential Mach-4 (but somehow I doubt it).
Finally saw one at a dealership with the non PP FX package. Adriatic Blue appears so much more teal than the majority of photos I've seen of it.
Teal and green just might be the most difficult colors to get photos of accurately, from what I've seen.
I tried configuring a base GT to how I'd order it, and holy cow, when did it become as expensive as a similarly spec-ed GT Premium from a year or two ago? ($55K with 301A, automatic, active exhaust, and 3.55 drive ratio, in Oxford White)
I'm still enjoying my EcoBoost a lot, but it might as well be a Prius with how little to no attention it gets from people. Honestly though I prefer it that way, staying under the radar from less savory folks.
If I read magazine reviews correctly, it seemed most of the time Camaro won over the Mustang during comparison tests. The better performer, if not the better seller or daily driver, if you will. But maybe I'm mistaken?
I clamor for cars in general. At least they're not clamoring for a Pri---oh wait, I've done that before.
But seriously, if a new Camaro is what makes the Mustang improve either this gen or next, I'm all for it. And a potential Camaro sedan before the Mach-4...I'd love to see it happen if it...
Apparently the Mustang I've been daily driving for years now isn't called a Mustang according to Mr. Rocket Man (and I'm sure many more hardcore enthusiasts would agree with him). I just was being tongue-in-cheek if it wasn't obvious. 😁
For 3K I would make it sound like a GT from the inside at the minimum. That would be more worth it than what seems nothing more than a graphics package.
Farley has been saying a lot of stuff over the years about cars coming back to their lineup. I'm still waiting for something to actually get made and sold in dealerships.
Do you think we'll ever see the return of budget/value car brands in the future? That is, new/revived brands with cars specifically made for the demographic willing to spend, I don't know, $10K-30K tops for a new car...or is that a dream long gone for the US market due to tech/safety regulations?
Excellent review! I think you hit it spot-on with how the handling feels in the S650 GT compared to the S550 GT. (Weirdly enough the S650 EcoBoost felt identical in steering effort in comparison to the S550 EcoBoost, so I don't know why they couldn't carry that over for the GT.)
Thanks for the reply. Whether on my EcoBoost or test driving GTs, I always keep the steering on Sport, and then switch up driving modes between Normal, Sport, and Sport+ depending on my mood. Up until this most recent test drive, I've only test driven stock EcoBoosts and GTs. The particular S550...
