same same... almost sounds like a light rod knock.

I'm fairly certain comes through the shift boot. The body penetration for the shifter/linkage needs more sound insulation under the boot/opening. I haven't pulled it apart yet to see what it looks like but it's on the list to correct.

Gregs 24 knows what I’m talking about . Easy on the throttle, 2nd and 3rd, it is most noticeable. Loud rough roads or B&O blasting , foot into it , you will not notice it . It’s not the infamous 2000 rpm rattle. In second if I put pressure on the shifter toward the driver seat, it changes the tone of the noise . Tomorrow I’m going to change the oil to good old fashioned redline MT-90 . It is GL4 .
I’ll let you know how it goes . I posted a short clip of the sound in my original post .

One advice , try to enjoy the car and don't pay much attention to the noises. They will consume you. Had many different noises, others come others go. A10 whining noise, rattle like noise when slightly engaging the gas when cruising , a "boom" noise when accelerating from low rpms and speeds, PCV valve noise , bbq tick noise that comes and go with oil changes....and many others. Car went to dealer and nothing was found. All look normal. Try to enjoy it, 10 hard pulls a day keeps the doctor away , stay above 5k rpms when driving spirited and all will be healed.

Don't waste your time on an oil change, mine is an auto and makes the noise so it isn't the box itself.

As above - all European cars have the PP
Ok. I forgot where you live.

I ask because all of the vibration complaints I have seen on this forum were on PP cars. I think it has something to do driveline or Torsen diff. It's not a transmission issue.

We don't get the Torsen diff on our GT PP, but yes probably driveline as both manual and auto boxes do it. It isn't a vibration at all, smooth as silk, just a minor noise.

Of course sounds buzz around a car pretty well so it could just be something at the back of the engine 'reflecting' into the transmission tunnel.

My favorite quasi on-demand sound is the backfire pop, just sweet.

I had no idea Euro spec PP didn’t have the Toresen diff. šŸ˜•

Changed fluid today to redline mt-90
Same noise . I’m gonna take Noob’s advice.ā€ 10 hard pulls a day keeps the dr. away. ā€œ
I see why ford offers that big B&O sound system . Crank it up and use track setting on exhaust and all clicks, ticks, chirps, rattles just go away.
