2025 GT PP 6sp transmission rattle.

2025 gt pp 6sp. I have a very annoying rattle that seems to be coming from the tranny . It happens mostly in the 2000 rpm range. It is most noticeable in 3rd. gear.
The service manager at a well known performance oriented dealer said it was definitely from the transmission. I drove another GT on the lot and it had the same rattle . Anyone else have this issue ?

Have you driven the car hard prior to this?

I've heard this rattle a few times in mine, but only after a very aggressive spirited drive for an extended period of time. By the next time the car's cooled off it's fine.

I have the same rattle on my 10spd GT. It happens between 1200 and 2200 RPMs on normal acceleration when upshifting. Above 2500 Rpm acceleration it sounds and feels as like the rattle wasn't there. My concern now with 11 months of warranty left, is it covered by the warranty? Will it become a recall issue?

The rattle happens all the time. If I put my foot into it and wind up the rpm’s I cannot hear it . It’s most noticeable when driving at low rpm’s with a light foot on the gas pedal.
This noise is from the transmission, not the engine. I’m wondering how many cars with the 6 speed are hearing this . I drove a demo off the lot and it made the same sound.

Yes mine does that, more so when hot. I'm not sure it is a rattle, just something in the transmission?

7k miles on mine without any issue.

Oh, and mine is an auto so maybe not the transmission, maybe something nearby.

Mine also makes this sound. I swear it started doing it at 500 miles (now on 2500), but probably that's just when I first noticed as I can't hear it with the roof down or the radio on.

No, it isn't from the engine

My 25 dark horse does the 2k rattle and it has a different gear box than yours , so I am pretty sure it a metallic resonance coming from a heat shield or something.

Sounds like the high pressure fuel pump rattle, 2k rattle.

It definitely comes from under where the gear lever / shifter is. Not very loud and I assume it is just a normal noise.

It is more a tapping than a rattle and goes off when you ease off the throttle. It's a bit like gear thrash / backlash in that respect.

You need a smooth bit of road to hear it above the road noise together with low speed and gentle throttle.
