Agree the Pirelli's are surprisingly good, including in cold and wet British winter conditions. If you're confirming they're also good in hot and dry conditions (it was 25 degrees C here yesterday and stuck to the road like glue, but that's not really that hot), then they sound like a great...
How frustrating! Unless the fault is that the camera comes on whilst you're travelling forward, which might be confusing and distracting, I can't think how it could be serious enough to warrant being a safety issue.
All drivers should be capable of reversing without a camera.
Car prices have been climbing across the board since 2020. Take the Yaris GR, for example, which started at less than £30k in early 2021.
Four years on, and only very lightly facelifted, the start price is £46k. Even if I take into consideration that the circuit pack is now standard and say...
To be fair, 2020 wasn't a great year for new car sales, and neither was 2021. By 2022, the model was old and production was closing out and am I right in saying 2023 was effectively fallow for European Mustangs?
It might be fair to assume a fresh model, free from COVID-related supply...
You'll want the geometry checked very closely once the repair is complete as slight inconsistencies on one corner can lead to interesting handling characteristics and potentially more kamikaze curbs jumping out at you.
Same! The only other one I have seen was the demonstratorI test drove.
We're both Wiltshire-based, Gregs, maybe we'll see each other at some point.
Do the Mustang community wave at each other? One of the best things about being in the MX5 club was all the friendly waves you got on a sunny...
I fitted the hole covers to mine a couple of weeks ago after driving past a freshly ploughed field and ending up with muddy straw clogged in my holes (ooh err!).
I agree, there didn't seem to be much sign of pebbles in there but the crud was apparent, and is difficult to avoid in the...
The idea behind the throttle in Track mode is that it is totally linear (unlike most drive by wire throttles these days that give the majority of throttle opening in the first 50% of pedal travel, to make cars seem faster). Combine with no traction or stability control and it's then down to the...
I absolutely love heel and toeing my manuals. The Mazda MX5 I had a couple of years ago was just perfectly set up to do amazing heel and toe downshifts. My daily shopping car - a Suzuki Swift - is also pretty good for it.
But I just can't do it in the Mustang; the brake pedal is too high and...
Agree with this. I was prepared to have to replace them pretty quickly, as my prejudice against Pirelli was pretty strong, but I've been very impressed with their performance, even in the low winter temperatures.
Not sure I can get away with a burnout on the M25 to verify this ;p
ETA, in case those who live outside the UK care to know, the only bit of concrete road I can think of is a particularly rough old part of the traffic jam known as the London orbital motorway.
Back on topic, I don't think I...
I get mega-powerful lighting for off-road use, but blinding oncoming traffic seems like a highly self-defeating endeavour.
The OEM headlight wars are bad enough without the thermonuclear aftermarket additions.
I'd set up a Custom profile with 'comfort' steering and 'sports' everything else. This should do it for you.
Annoying that it doesn't remember which mode you were in at the next engine cycle, though...
Ford don't exactly have a good track record of designing coupe-convertibles. Even Pininfarina couldn't help. Look at the proportions of this - all wrong!
This much is all true. However, in this instance, the advert now says "deposit taken", just a couple of hours later, so I guess my original assertion is disproved and Ford can easily shift metal if priced correctly.

Here's Dark Horse in stock with Recaros at what looks like a very keen price. If this doesn't sell very quickly, Ford have big problems.
Ford would do well to convince its credit arm to slash rates for finance on the Mustang. It's not a cheap car and if they could make finance work at 5% instead of over 10%, I'm sure they'd move a few more.
Is there anyone on this forum still waiting for their car to arrive?
